Kairi Sane with the pirate's booty treasure chest, and opening it to contain the Women's title was so adorable!

They probably cut it out for TV but she accidentally threw the title into the audience

I spotted this yesterday (I think there's one showing live now too), but it only seems to be with Japanese commentary. Is there likely a version with English commentary to follow, or are some events only available with Japanese commentary? I wasn't sure whether to watch it yesterday or wait until a version popped up with English commentary.

That's hilarious! They definitely cut that out.

I think these ones area basically just like house shows so there's no English commentary until the main Destruction shows.

Thanks! I'll definitely give them a watch this weekend then. When I had a look at the live feed earlier Ibushi and Omega were tagging together, and I was really disappointed how little we saw of Ibushi at All In, so I'm looking forward checking these Destruction shows out. I haven't seen much of Ibushi since the Cruiser-weight Classic. Not signing that WWE contract was probably very smart, looking at how 205 Live has failed to take off.

Yeah, seems like it. Having the Japanese commentary didn't take away from it all though.

Does anyone go to any local indy shows btw?

I've been following Discovery Wrestling (based in Edinburgh) for the past year or so and they've had some great events, with the last one probably being the best of theirs that I've seen.

Joe Coffey is the current champion and he, along with other ICW regulars (BT Gunn, The Kings of Catch, DCT etc.), have appeared on various televised events (like WoS, NXT UK and Impact), they also get the occasional US guys turning up - Codey and The Young Bucks were there last year and Joey Ryan appeared as well...although that didn't quite fit in with the 'family friendly' theme that they try to go with!

Definitely worth checking out if you're nearby.

Any others that people go to?

I think signing up for NJPW World is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I properly started watching it when G1 Climax kicked off and I realised that having 4 and 5 star matches to watch on a near nightly basis was exactly what my life was missing.

Now Road to Destruction has started and yesterday's tag match main event was another example of why everyone (*every* *one*) should sign up as well.

No worries, I was in the same boat as you earlier this year, decided to sign up after Dominion. Watching the G1 on a daily basis (some events live) was just

Oh boy, just you wait for some of those G1 matches, especially vs. Ishii, Naito and Omega.

Andy Wild? Cool! He won their version of the Royal Rumble in January and had a great match with Eddie Dennis at the one in September. Pass on my congrats :)

WWE has pulled Coachman from RAW and chucked him on the PPV pre-shows. Renee Young is now going to be on RAW every week.

I don’t think anything will top the Mark Madden (WCW) and Matt Striker years, but God WWE commentary these days is so tired compared to what has come before. Todd Grisham, Tom Phillips, Vic Joseph (yes, I Wikied him)...it’s like they all come out of the interchangeable WWE training school of forgettable commentators (that they themselves seemed to acknowledge with Chris Jericho’s running joke). It’s even worse with the women backstage interviewers, Charly Caruso being the current exception.

Is Charly the exception because she appears to be the one they are trying to copy?

Looking at Charly on Instagram she seems to have a lot of interests outside of WWE.

Currently watching the first episode of the Mae Young Classic and it’s nothing but “Oh!” and “Oooh!” on commentary from the women. Which as the show is progressing is already rubbing off onto Michael Cole.

I’m hopeful Renee Young stops as the weeks pass otherwise this is going to be unbearable.

The funny thing is Renee Young acknowledged she was a bad commentator after her stint on NXT. But there’s a “Revolution” going on so let’s not mention it.

Yeah I have to agree on the ‘oohing’ and ‘oh my’. I like listening to Renee’s discussion though. She’s a great host on the pre shows. Hopefully more of that can come into her commentary.

Wow, Eric Bischoff’s outdone himself on his podcast this week. Last week he accused him of being on the roids, this week...

‘Dave Meltzer looks like someone who shouldn’t be within 300ft of an elementary school’

It was going to be a noteworthy listen anyway as they’re reviewing one of the very worst PPVs of all time, Fall Brawl 1998.

Quite surprised that nobody has mentioned this yet but Ric Flair recently married again. That’s his fifth wife.

The HIAC poster is hilarious. The cell is red this year apparently. I was disappointed Joe vs Styles wasn't taking place in the cell, it seemed like it escalated quickly in brutality, and that was the direction they were headed, but clearly Jeff Hardy is going to do something very dangerous.

Renee Young has a terrible voice for commentary. I think someone like Beth Phoenix could probably do a better job.

So that red cell for HIAC. I think that will be massively distracting personally.
