I’ve noticed SD doesn’t go over at all and sticks rigidly to its 2 hour slot, whereas RAW can go over by up to 20 minutes.

Haven’t watched NXT U.K. yet, will probably on Saturday before MOTD.

Yeah I’ve always noticed that about SD having to finish dead on time. I wonder if he did more for the crowd though after it went off the air. That often happens when final segments are really short.

The World Cup really is stacked full of Americans though

Also this episode made me realise how much I wish Edge was still healthy enough to wrestle. He would I can’t see how they could have kept him from at least tying with Cena for most titles. At still only 44 he lost so much prime wrestling time. I think he looks better with short hair though.

If he’s as big as he appears that’ll be the obligatory big man match against Strowman or equivalent sorted. Modern day Zeus (No Holds Barred movie, WCW Uncensored ‘96).

They're obviously standing on the entrance ramp but the guy on the right is Punishment Martinez from Ring of Honour and he's pretty huge, at least 6 ft 5.

He’ll probably be another one that’s pretty big in NXT but then still getting beaten by Kane on RAW in 2022.

WWE still tying everything to get people to boo Becky Lynch and cheer Charlotte and failing miserably. :fp:

And Big Show heel turn 593.

I cannot understand wwe’s logic. Did they promise Charlotte a run as a face in her contract or something. This is a company that twenty years ago set Austin up as a heel but quickly realised that the crowd wanted to cheer him so they let it happen organically and didn’t change his character. They need to allow this to happen with Becky otherwise they risk ruining her as they have with so many others.

She's apparently getting sued by her first ex-husband for a series of lies in her book, one of which being his infertility. He now has 3 kids.

Great look and atmosphere on this debut NXT U.K. show.

If this episode is any indication of what’s to come, this is going to be brilliant. NXT but with a very hot crowd.

Had no idea about Reigns and his battle with Leukemia. Never been a fan of his, but it's a shitty way to see him go.

Just seen the news about Roman Reigns, that’s really sad, I hope he is able to fight and get rid of it and return someday

Wow, can't imagine what Roman is going through. Whilst we all know that nobody is immune to these things, I still find it a shock when someone in peak physical fitness like Reigns gets something like leukemia, even though I know fitness has no bearing on it.

Hoping he can fully recover, despite not being a fan of his. It would be nice to see him back one day.

Yeah it always seems odd when superfit people get various illnesses and diseases even though you know it has no bearing on their chances. Very shocking to read about it this morning.

Well this tops Shawn Michaels losing his smile as saddest title relinquish :( I hope it’s a really quick battle and turn around for the guy. Never thought I’d say it, but I hope Roman Reigns wins next years Royal Rumble.

Kenny McIntosh’s Inside the Ropes have only gone and announced Undertaker for next year; three shows in the UK [Manchester, Glasgow and London]

I’d be amazing to meet Taker, but I bet it’s difficult to get tickets.

WWE statement:

WWE has operated in the Middle East for nearly 20 years and has developed a sizable and dedicated fan base. Considering the heinous crime committed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, the Company faced a very difficult decision as it relates to its event scheduled for November 2 in Riyadh. Similar to other U.S.-based companies who plan to continue operations in Saudi Arabia, the Company has decided to uphold its contractual obligations to the General Sports Authority and stage the event. Full year 2018 guidance is predicated on the staging of the Riyadh event as scheduled.

Time to get the beers in next Friday evening for this shambles, then.

Absolutely not, won't be watching that.

Going ahead with this event might be the straw that breaks my back in terms of the WWE and bad business practices - I've only watched the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania for years now and I reckon I might cut them out as well going forward.
