Cringed when I watched it this morning but didn't realise it was that that bad :dread:

Just finished watching that :dread: Only a matter of time before Takahashi was hurt like that but I don't think that was his fault.

Whole show was great though.

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura added to SmackDown tomorrow AGAIN. No doubt Rusev will run in.

Honestly, it feels like the same old matches on a loop every week.

Yeah I've no idea why you put yourself through this every week when, barring NXT, it's just the same old gooseberry fool. I binned off the Network earlier this year.

Dunno why you don't give NJPW a try.

Speaking of NJPW this happened the other night :o

From Dave Meltzer:
"Ross suffered a rib injury. Barnett just reacted to what was happening. Ross was upset, besides being injured, because the night before he had spoken to officials about fighting outside the ring and near the announcers desk."

Even just watching the Raw hilights on YouTube these days seems like a chore. No champion, focus still on Reigns while wasting people like Owens, Srtowman and Elias with really bad “funny” segments. Every show looks and feels the same. I’m no NJPW geek but I do find myself more interested in it and watching more of it and other indies than WWE. The fact that I’m more hyped for All In than Summer Slam says it all.
God I hope Omega, Cody and The Bucks don’t sign with WWE :dread:

It’s awful, it’s simply awful.

Having found myself enjoying NJPW once again this weekend, it’s kind of rekindled that enjoyment I get from watching wrestling. I fear for anyone going to the main roster, I don’t know how you make AJ, Nak, Owens, Seth, Balor, Sami boring but here we are. No way would they allow the young bucks to get over for example. Until Trips is on full time watch I can’t see myself bothering with the wwe product any time soon.

I don’t watch NJPW, who was on commentary with Ross? I assume he’s a former or current wrestler? Looked pretty big.

Josh Barnett. Wrestled in New Japan a while ago and briefly in TNA last year. Did MMA too with Pride in Japan and two stints in UFC (in his first run there he won the heavyweight title but was later stripped because he failed a drug test). He just does commentary now.

Always thought it was weird WWE never made a move for him.

btw, speaking of how crap WWE is just now:

Josh Barnett. He's wrestled for NJPW before, but I believe he is most well known as an MMA fighter.

An important point to note is that JR and Barnett aren't regular commentators for NJPW, but AXS TV produce their US based shows as well as a weekly highlights show. Jr and Barnett are contracted to AXS rather than NJPW and are GARBAGE. The usual NJPW team is Kevin Kelly and Don Callis who are the best commentary pair in the business bright now for my money.

Yeah JR is abysmal for NJPW, knows none of the move names and routinely gets the wrestlers' names wrong.

The also seem totally uninvested in the product. In fact I'd say this time they seed like they actively disliked it. They need to get rid asap.

Ring of Honor and New Japan are doing a co-branded show at Madison Square Garden on Wrestlemania weekend

twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/1017532826596593669

WWE recently tried to block them from running an event there but I guess they backed off after legal threats. Looking forward to seeing how they react to this, must have been annoying enough having to follow a fantastic NXT Takeover every year and now this too.

Should have had it the same night as the Hall of Fame rather than Takeover

Wrestlemania weekend just got abit more exciting. Minus Wrestlemania itself of course.
