I still struggle to get my head around my XBOX1 not being able to play the Arcade games available on the 360

Is Resident Evil 4 HD worth it? I've never played it, but do own the Gamecube version, which I recently bought (and is as yet unplayed).

Well it's the same game as the Gamecube game only prettier, so it's up to you whether that's worth the extra money. Either way, you should probably play it, since it's one of the greatest games of all time.

I picked up Dead Rising and I'm tempted to get the DMC Collection. How does it compare to the PS3 version? More importantly, can I pay the just difference between the price of the game and the money in my account via PayPal or a card?

You can pretty much say the same thing about the PS4.

Or about disc games.

I am surprised though that MS or Sony didn’t put effort into making their consoles backwards compatible. Being able to advertise that “hundreds” of games were available at launch might have helped shift a few consoles.

Would be harder to sell those shiny remastered editions in that case.

The best way to get backward compability is to add that console's innards in the new console. Even the later version of Wii have to get it stripped out (Gamecube) to drive down the costs, same for the PS3 (PS2).

Even MS can't promise full compability with the 360 and original X Box games, as that seems to be driven by emulation.

I would have paid another £100 for full backwards compatibility. It would have just been so much more convenient to have access to my entire XBLA library, especially now they've added support for external hard drives.

Different architecture makes bacjwards compatibility difficult. It is pretty sucky. I keep thinking I should buy another 360 just in case my white original model goes tits up.

I bought MM9 because I don't own it on anything. Probably won't get anything else on sale.

Guys, I've never played a Mega Man game and would like to rectify this!

Mega Man 9 or 10?

Yes it's a shame. I'd go out and buy an Xbox One tomorrow if it could play all of my XBLA games. I'm not even that fussed about my retail 360 games, but I'm very fond of my XBLA collection and I just can't bring myself to abandon it :(

A reminder that the excellent Dishonoured is the Game with Gold until the end of the month.

Noticed there's a Rockstar sales on at the moment. RDR for £4.99, Midnight Club for £2.99, etc. Also some DLC for GTA IV, LA Noire, etc.
