I bet what really happened to was it fell out of it's best. Gecko took photos to show how nice he is. He then plucked it, and it's now in the oven at 200 degrees.

It's currently sleeping on my patio as if nothing has happened which is a poor choice, as previously it was flapping around and making a scene for itself and some rooks were finally returning for the day. And now are again nowhere to be seen.

Maybe it doesn't really want to be found by its parents, it's gone full adolescent. This is difficult.

And now it has woken up again. Christ call your parents already I want dinner and bed. I miss the sofa.

The baby rook is currently staring into my soul and I believe is convinced it is now my responsibility.

I think it's time to call the RSPCA back.

And now it's bloody napping again.

Is your garden area "secure", Gecko? Or is there potential for unwanted cats or foxes? .

Don't call the RSPCA. Look after your new baby. :(

It has bobbed it's head up and down and called a few times.

Don't give it your number, it'll be even more clingy

There is at least this cat that caught my attention because I haven't seen it before and a Siamese kitten.

So yeah it's not really safe. We are bringing it in a box and hopefully it can be picked up tomorrow, I don't think the parents give a gooseberry fool at this point. It's not a small bird, and it can't fly at all. It just flops around. Doesn't have big enough feathers or the strength yet, I guess.

This is most likely the best day in GRCade history.

I know this may be a bit of a drive but the head office of the RSPB is in Sandy in Bedfordshire.

Gecko you have to keep it now, thats the rules.

Now we need to name the wee bastard

My suggestions:

1. Karl Ladyfinger
2. Forum Meme
3. Bianca Featherstone
4. MoreRook_ThanTit
5. Someone Else's Food
6. BlackBird
7. Denster
8. Birddy
9. Floydbeak
10. I Give up

I initially called it Boof because it was boofed by a cat, as in bif but lower pitch.

But I like Karl Ladyfinger. Sadly while on hold to the RSPCA we checked to find the bird is dead. It's parents never fed it in time so it slept itself to death. Better than mawling and eating by cat I guess.

So now I hate these rooks again because they're not only loud and obnoxious, they're rubbish parents.

RIP In Peace Karl Ladyfinger.

we found a bird when i was a kid, and took it from France, to London, to Scotland with us. we named it Tweety
sadly it died too after refusing to eat anything once we'd got to Scotland - i think the flight was too stressful
im sad your bird has met the same end GG
RIP in peace bird

i think its quite worrying that youd name a bird that has died after a forum member :dread:
