You made me think it was Monday for a second there. Nearly had a heart attack since I was meant to be at work 3 and a half hours ago if it was Monday.

And of course there's the smokers who think that because they smoke it somehow gives them an entitlement to way more break time than everyone else, so rather than the 2 15 minute breaks a day they're supposed to get, they bugger off for 10 minutes every hour to have a smoke.

At my work smokers are allowed to have a smoke break whenever they like, but they have to ensure that they have made up all the time that they spend outside. Seems to work well in my office.

We don't have any smokers in our office, which is fantastic. Having worked with someone before who smoked and went for a 15 min smoke break every hour, THEN used to spend time making a cup of coffee after every break, it's really refreshing to have people just getting on with stuff and not blagging breaks.

I suppose some make up for it by not coming in for two hours though

When I was younger and working in pubs, people taking smoking breaks was ridiculous. The attitude was, it was basically their human right.

I remember someone getting so pissy about it, they started taking "crisps breaks" where'd he sit there doing nothing but eat a packet of crisps slowly

Small break yes, not 10-15 minutes every hour for a cigarette though.

Almost as bad as the smokers though are the people who rack up for a second game on the pool table at work when there are clearly other people waiting to use it

Put a coin on the table side while they're playing.

Yes, it will come out once I've put more paper in/closed the hatch properly/whatever minor defect is stopping it printing now. It'll print alongside the other 75 copies you sent to print too. Meaning I have a 20 minute wait and have to refil the paper before I can find my gooseberry fool. Thanks knobheads.

Keep all the spares, then every few weeks place one on their desk when they aren't there, like they're being haunted by the orphan documents they created in haste.

When things which, according to the box, are easy to assemble/install just never are.

Case in point, I bought a Samsung TV for our kitchen and I selected a wall mount which was recommended for that TV. The mount comes with an assortment of screws, washers and spacers to attach it to the TV. The short and medium length screws are too short and the long ones are too long. So I threaded a spacer onto the longest screws but the thread that is left is too short to connect to the TV. So I decided to cut the spacers in half... I don't know what they're made of but sawing is barely scratching them... GRRRR!

The strawberry floating thing is gloating at me!

I want to stab my coworker in the heart whenever he decides to photocopy 100 pages of the same form. The same form we have three hundred copies of in the filing cabinet. The 300 forms that would do us for the rest of the year.

I just delete his printer job and get my stuff. strawberry float that guy.

I'm known at work for doing the filing cabinets better than the admin team. Neat, organised and easy to find gooseberry fool. Except when the photocopying comes back and gets lumped into whichever file is most open. All 40 different sheets. Rather than putting them away properly.

Then they're all printed/photocopied again because idiots can't find them when they've just been dumped.

Cheltenham race week. As someone who lives in Cheltenham and has to endure this colossal piss up each year and the obnoxious arseholes who attend it I cannot wait for it to end. Even the students are more respectful of our town.

It happens everywhere there is a racetrack. Chester and Aintree are my local ones and are a pain in the arse. National week is a banana split.

Jesus, i made the mistake of going on a train that went through newbury on a race day. Loads of loud, obnoxious twats drinking, leaving cans and rubbish everywhere. Makes you despair for humanity.

Why? It's not your business so why are you bothered?

The biggest problem is that the police are outnumbered and simply can't control the situation. The whole town gets turned in to a cesspit over the course of the week and it's strawberry floating horrible. I'm thankful my shift at the hospital is 6am-2pm as I'll miss the brunt of drunken shitheads coming in to A&E.
