I also don't understand the whole cake thing and even going back to school when you would give sweets out to everyone. What was that all about? Surely it should be the other way round. I can only assume the fad was started by people who didn't have friends so they had to bribe others to celebrate with them by giving them free food.

Relating to videogames, people who are currently in their 40s have been lucky enough to see such massive evolution during their life. From my Vic-20 to my PS4 Pro, the level of technical advancement is incredible. Visual quality improvement is perhaps harder to determine nowdays; will we be blown away by the difference between 4K and 8K? I was on the ground floor of a multistory car park waiting for the lift with a few other people. One guy checked his watch about three times before the lift showed up (which really didn't take long, maybe 30 seconds). I was the first on the lift and pressed the button for the fourth floor, this guy got on after me and started pressing the door close button while people were still getting on the lift. A lady practically had to push him aside so she could press the button for the 3rd floor and he looked at her as if she had just taken a gooseberry fool in his mouth, pure disgust. The lift stops at the third floor and she is barely out the door (the bag she was pulling wasn't) when Mr. VIP starts hammering the door close button again. We get to the fourth floor and he launches out of the lift like Justin Gatlin and goes to the solitary paypoint.







And that's when he decides to start looking for his parking ticket and the change to pay for his parking.

Ive seen people do something similar at the supermarket as well, all the stuff gets scanned, they watch it happen, get asked for money, look surprised, fish out their purse, count out the exact amount no matter how long it takes to fish out that penny from the bottom, wait for the receipt and then begin bagging things.
