https://www.rte.ie/news/munster/2017/0515/875278-cork-coypu/

Fresh concerns have been raised over the possible spread of the rat-like coypu in Cork.

The metre-long semi-aquatic rodent is native to South America, but it is believed they have been breeding in the Curraheen River area over the last two years.

Ten coypu were removed from the area last autumn.

However last week a single coypu was photographed swimming in the River Lee, about 4km from the Curraheen sightings.

It sounds like some gobshites brought a bunch of these big river rats into the country to keep as pets and then let them escape into the wild. Stupid banana splits.

Yeah but if you manage to catch one and grind it up, they make lovely burgers.

When you can't a seat on the Metro to work and have to stand nearly all the way because there's a load of kids on a school trip hogging all the seats. This is happening increasingly regularly lately too and it's pissing me off.

People that put private conversations on speaker phone, so you're forced to listen to it. Pack it in, FFS.

People that call a contact centre on speakerphone and all I can hear is myself and not the caller.

Oh strawberry floating hell, I hate that so much. The other week it took me about 6 attempts to say "locking wheel nut key" to a customer because after the first syllable I could hear myself back and it was incredibly distracting.

Sold something on ebay, it specifically says that it wont work without certain prerequisites and due to the digital nature of the item no refunds are possible.

Sell the item, send to the guy straight away. Check ebay this morning and find 3 messages detailing a decline as the guy tries to use it, doesnt meet the requirements, insists he'll need a refund, and implies he's been shortchanged.

The funny thing is, I bet if he files a dispute the strawberry floater will get his money back via ebay leaving me with a worthless item I then cant sell on.

You're bigger than them so pick one up and move him out the way and sit down :shifty: .

I had that the other week - they were all crowded round me, blatantly watching my iPad screen. IIRC I was watching Deadpool and it definitely wasn't age appropriate.

This is incredibly annoying. I tell people to turn it off or I won't be continuing. It's imperative I hear everything in the call so I can log it.

People who stop walking infront of you in the most inconvenient places possible.

It might just be because I'm in Asia and they seem particurlay oblivious but I swear if one more person stops on the stairs out of a subway to take a selfie or whatever I'm going to punch them in the back of the head.

That drives me insane with rage as well.

A similar thing that drives me crazy is when I am walking down the stairs and somebody from another floor sees me coming and gets in front of me. They then walk down the stairs extremely slowly as they are checking their phones or are just a slow banana split. These people must know that they are slow/going to check their phone, why not just hold on for a second and come down behind me rather than hold me up. :x

I annoyed myself just now.

Because it is slightly warmer today and, as I was carrying some shopping home, I was thinking that it was a bit too hot :fp:  .

Inconsiderate parking.

We have 5 cars between 3 of us in our house, kinda excessive I know. We have 2 on the drive and park the others in the street or over the drive. I try to be considerate if possible. The other neighbours also have 1 or 2 each and not always a driveway.

There are certain places you can squeeze 2 or 3 cars, myself and the neighbours know this so when an outsider ( :slol: ) takes up the whole area it's kinda annoying.

Or the dirty red Transit that parks on our street becasue it's permit parking outside their house, taking up multiple spaces each time and stays there for a week.

I know it's the public road and anyone can park there blah blah, my gripe is people not using the space considerately.

5 cars between 3 people? Captain Planet does not approve.

Why do you need 5 cars between 3?

Why 5 cars between 3? Surely you would have 6 cars so that you could have 2 each?

Our neighbours bought another car a week or so taking the total up to 4 cars between 3 of them :fp:

One of the cars has been on their drive for at least a year. Sell the strawberry floating thing if you don't drive it.
The other cars are long so they spread themselves across the road, parking in front of other houses and generally getting in the way. This morning the kid had his car parked right against the edge of my drive when I came out I had to go all the way forward to the pavement then do a stupid jiggle about as I couldn't make the turn left like I normally would.

Inconsiderate parking is a real gripe of mine. One of the neighbours parks over two spaces regularly.
