Now I generally despise people anyway, let alone having to be surrounded by them for 8 hours a day in an open-plan office environment. However, I've learned to tolerate it over the years, but every now and then you get some who just tip you over the edge. There are 3 women here who drive me nuts. Constantly talking to each other. Two of them chatting and not involving the other one? She'll pipe up with "What's that? What's happened?!", as if they can't possibly have a conversation without her. The slightest period of quiet is met with "why is it so quiet in here today?". So much gossiping. So much inane chatter. A need to let the whole office know about everything. They need the toilet? Better tell the whole office by announcing it at the top of their voice. Hungry? Thirsty? Tired? Same logic applies. Loud throat clearing every few minutes. Random outbursts of singing. They're like little children; a need to be the centre of attention, constantly complaining about being bored, desperately craving approval of others, etc. Drives me nuts.

Do they like crisps?

Worst is when you have no idea what's making it wet and hoping it's just water.

Bloody animals.

All toilet doors should be push to leave for this very reason

I always open stall doors by using my toes hooked under it. Handles if they have to be touched are tackled with my sleeve pulled over my hand. Hand dryer switchers are activated either my elbow.

I use my mouth, gotta build up those antibodies.

Downside is that it leaves the handles wet...

Runners. Or more specifically people who think they are world class athletes who seem to have some kind of desire to punish themselves repeatedly, then tell everyone who will listen. Usually via Facebook.

Honestly I have one 'friend' on Facebook, at least two or three days of the week shows their GPS tracked route, shows off their strawberry floated up feet from running like a berk, their running gear, (usually some strawberry floated up lycra or day glo t shirt) and can't help but go on about how punishing their 15k route was.

More power to you mate, but you're still chubby as strawberry float, look like a knob and are seriously dampening my enjoyment of life.

I've no issue with people who enjoy running per se, or want to keep fit. But that specific vocal member of the running community that everyone knows can just strawberry float off.

Regular 15k runs cannot be good for your knees. The human body wasn't designed to run on surfaces we use now.

Being blinded by every banana split driving behind me.

I'd assumed it was because my car was lowered but no, I get a new car and the interior is still being lit up like a stadium. Pretty sure at this point the mirrors are only there to blind me.

I always drive with mine folded in. It is exactly like the scene in Star Wars where Luke turns off the computer and uses the force. :datass:

There seem to be so many cars about with super bright led headlights, that driving on the motorway when it's dark is like being in a light show.

Recruitment agencies. What is the strawberry floating point? :x :x :x

I spent over an hour with one last week, in person, talking through all my stuff, what I want to do etc. Then at the end of our meeting he said, "well if you haven't heard from me in a few weeks, give me a call and we'll see if there's anything you're interested in on our books"

YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO STRAWBERRY FLOATING RING ME TO HELP ME FIND WORK .

And another one, phone call this time but another hour plus the time it takes to put together the portfolio etc they want for filing. I specifically said that as well as full time work, i'd be interested in contract work to tie me over in the short term. Heard nothing, then on linkedin just now i saw he posted that they need a 1 month designer to start asap for a contract.

I COULD HAVE STARTED TODAY FFS

My girlfriend has been having similar issues with recruitment agencies - they sound like they're a strawberry floating nightmare to work with.

I hate it when people say "tie me over" instead of "tide me over".

Really grinds my gears.

In my experience recruitment agencies are very proactive and busy when they want something, but when you're waiting on them for something - notifcation of opportunities, status updates, advice, etc, they're slow and unresponsive. I've only had a couple of good experiences; one where I found a guy who genuinely seemed to want to help me and was good at keeping me in the loop, and the other was a one-man company, so it makes sense that he'd have more of a vested interest (and I repaid him by getting the job :datass:).

I'm assuming you're using an agency that specialises in your industry/sector..if not, my only advice would be to do so. General recruitment agencies seem to be universally useless.
