It's a shitty way to avoid giving credit to those who actually go out and get a story. Just look at the Raheem Sterling contract story from yesterday. The Liverpool Echo ran a story saying he was close to signing a contract and then a few hours later SSN were running the story but giving the credit to Sky Sources. that's really lame. although technically just because one news outlet runs the story before another it doesn't necessarily mean the source was the first outlet.

It just happens too often for it to be coincidental. Even today the story about a fee being agreed for Bony seemed to originate from the BBC and not "Sky Sources".

The Telegraph were the first with the fee today I think-not that that changes your point though.
