My GF told them we set a £70 per day budget which we tried to stick to (which is really easy in Prague, food and drink are cheap), and they asked her how she had any fun with that tight a budget. "Because we like to go buggy racing, and do activities and stuff, and that costs loads".

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I told them I have been on one holiday abroad in 3 years, and it was to Prague. "Oh I like travelling too much, I couldn't be like that"

Worst "I have a girlfriend" post ever.

I mean obviously you haven't experienced the true Prague until you've gone buggy racing!

People that go to some country and do gooseberry fool they can do here piss me off.

There is a silly bitch at who went to some place because "I've always wanted to go there" and just sat by a pool and went to pubs that did English food and beer.

What's the strawberry floating point you haven't seen to the country it's strawberry floating idiotic

People who dump rubbish / furniture in the common areas of flats. Literally* dumping gooseberry fool on the floor with no consideration at all for their neighbours.

*Litter-rally. Yeah, I've used that line before.

Today, i spotted the scumbag tradesman who said he could fix my shed roof then buggered off, ignored my calls, and completely disappeared.

Where was he? Up a ladder fixing the guttering on the house opposite stool bloke's place.

Felt like going out there and shaking the bloody ladder til he fell in the bushes.

Plenty of these fannies at my work. The type of people that post screenshots on Facebook from some shitty countdown app on their phone to show how long they have to go till their next "adventure" away (which consists of just sitting next to a pool/on a beach drinking all day) and then constantly moan how pAy DaY cAnT CoMe SoOn ENoUgH xx. If they want an "adventure" I don't see why they can't just strawberry float off up north to the Highlands or something.

If they want adventure, tell them there's plenty in the local area if they know where to look. I'm sure there's a local forest or hillside they haven't been to. Sitting by a lake with a bottle of water's just as good as sitting next to a pool with a glass of wine, isn't it?

I think you underestimate people's alcohol dependence

Fine. They can take a 12-pack of beer instead.

I got the same reaction when I bought my house. People just aren't able to join the dots.

I'm actually used to not eating out everyday, so when I moved I didn't really miss it. I'm naturally stingy as strawberry float from my upbringing, so that's a plus

My last experience of drinking abroad was staying at my grandparents house in the middle of France and then walking for 40 minutes to the nearest village where the only bar for probably 50 miles was closed.

That was in 2011. These people sicken me.

I've got nothing against drinking on holiday. I drank a huge amount of beer in Prague, but if it's all you're doing, then you could do that at home.

This is why I find it weird to stay in really expensive hotels on holiday. I can just relax in my own house for free for 2 weeks if all I'm going to do it lounge around. I plan on spending as little time as possible in my hotel and being out and about in whatever country I'm in. It just needs to be a bed and a shower.

I'm the same as you for but some people just want some comfort next to a pool in the sun with a 2 week break from their mundane job. It would bore me but I do understand why people do it.
