My Nanna, a lady who would help anyone, who has stayed so fiercely independent for such a long time, my strawberry floating hero, is now scarred for life by these strawberry floating scum bags. It's really not fair.

I'm strawberry floating praying someone finds out these peoples, I will happily spend my life behind bars for a moment with these worthless pieces of gooseberry fool.

My nan sounds like yours from what you said, to have that happen to anyone is horrible, but knowing it's traumatised them makes it ten times worse. I hope your nanna is okay and that this doesn't stop her doing what she wants to do long term.

Bastards like that don't care who they're hurting, as long as they get what they want. I hope they're caught and very soon.

Thanks mate, I appreciate it and everyone else who responded.

They'll never be caught, as usual in this area break ins and thefts have increased when there is an influx of people with no fixed abode. I'm sure it's a massive coincidence though.

Burglars are absolute scum, and the fact they so frequently get away with it just makes it all the more galling for the victim.

Is it the same for everyone that it's not the getting your stuff nicked bit that worries you but the fact people have been in your house, going through your things and then you still have to live there knowing that?

From a completely selfish point of view I find it even worse that it's my Nanna's as it's a place that means so much to me with childhood memories and just generally good times. Obviously I realise that it's lucky that this is the only issue as it could have been much worse.

I found out that she walked into the house and initially thought it was my cousin who visits her once a week but she was savvy enough to twig something was up and back out of the house and call for my my uncle (who wasn't there). Thankfully the cowards were outsmarted by an 88 year old. She hasn't said anything bad about them just that she's glad it wasn't worse and wanted to stay there last night. Tough as strawberry float.

I think for most people the 'violation' and invasion of privacy is worse than what's been taken, as that can often be recovered through insurance (with some exceptions). I guess by 88 you've been through a lot though, so perhaps it's not hitting her as hard as it might some people. Old people are tougher than we give them credit for a lot of the time!

Nicking from an elderly person is the definition of pure strawberry floating scum. I hope your nannie is doing alright.

Those indicator lights you get on some newer cars (mainly seems to be Audi's) that sort of "pulse" from one side to the other. What the strawberry float was wrong with a blinking light!?

As well as being visually annoying I think they are actually somewhat distracting as well, and anything that takes people attention off the road is a bad idea IMO.

I think they look cool and Id say theyre only distracting cos theyre new and different, once theyre common place you wont take any notice of them.

Ok Michael Knight, of course they're cool! :P

Yes the distraction will diminish over time as they become more common, but that still doesn't make it a good idea!

What's worse is that I believe on some models you can actually program the lights to use different patterns - we're going to end up with the roads full of cars that look like a 90's disco!

They are ridiculous and just shout "im a twat" which isn't needed as the person is already driving an audi.

People who talk with a mouth full of food. Here's an idea, if you're about to talk to someone and initiate the conversation yourself, don't take a mouth full of food and have to sit with your head tilted back to stop it falling out of the front while you speak :x :dread:

My mum was terrible for it (cue lol mum with a mouth full joke). She'd put a load food in her mouth, push it all in to one of her cheeks (Kenneth.jpg) like a hamster and then have a full conversation out the side of her mouth. I walked away from many a chritmas dinner when she did it :dread:

"Don't talk with your mouth full" was a phrase I heard a lot as a child. It is pretty disgusting to be fair, depending on what the person is eating it can be truly horrible!

Another eating related annoyance: people who chew with their mouth open and make that disgusting "chomp chomp" sort of noise that comes with it. Rank.

I think animated indicators are intended to try and make them easier to spot (especially in the dark). Some cars have also started to dim the front headlight on the side that they're turning, to make the indicator a *lot* more clear to see if you're approaching from the front. At least if the animation is apparent enough to annoy you it means people are using the indicators, though! That's usually the problem with those kinds of cars :shifty:

Where do we stand on tipping the remains of a crisp bag into one's mouth?

I'll allow it.

Licking and or sucking ones fingers after eating crisps is unacceptable.

I do the crisp bag tipping thing, I do always think it's a bit vulgar but those crisp crumbs are so darn tasty!
