You orde on the screen, pick a number, sit down and they bring it to you.

Stop being old fashioned.

I've used the McDonalds screens a couple of times and both times it never printed a ticket, leaving me unsure about how I would prove my order was mine. In the end they just give it to you if you ask for it. :?

I am genuinely a grandad so I think this level of uncertainty of 'new' tech is allowed.

I've used the mcdonalds uber eats thing a couple of times recently after late days at work (my local is only like a 5 minute drive). It's actually really good if you want something quick and kind of comfort-food-y. Chips, nuggz, mcflurry, and it's always decent.

The app is really good if you're a picky eater, too. It obviously uses the same system as the screens so you can order anything easily without any of the options (to the point where you can order a burger without the "patty" and the bun). Can't do that on the Wetherspoons "order at your table" app, as I discovered the other day.

The screens are great, as well. Does make you wonder if eventually they'll lay staff off because they're surplus to requirements, though. You'd hope they'd just expand the kitchens a little to give them all stuff to do, but you never know.

Imagine actually going to McDonalds enough to complain about different ways to get served there :dread:

I bloody love McDonald's. I'll order it in store or by using an app or however they tell me to! :datass:

They're finally putting those screens up in the Mcdonalds by me, I love them. Ella is a picky eater, so it's easier for me to let her customise her burger instead of giving the instructions to the workers, just because it shows you what you can take off and put on your burger. We dont go very often (once a month if we're lucky) but we find it handy.

It's KFC all the way for me. Maccy Ds can do one.

Having said that, although my nearest KFC is a good one (they all used to be good in a place I call 'the past'), the hot drinks machine is broken and a member of staff told me Central office refuse to fix it until the whole outlet is refurbished. Which is mildly annoying.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I might have agreed once upon a time but the last few KFC's I've had have been absolutely awful. McDonald's is pretty consistent at least.

Aye, it's a shame but the KFC on Preston docks (I can't bring myself to call it a marina) is actually very good. This is not the case with the KFC in the city centre which is
consistently awful or the KFC in Lostock Hall which is worse.

I just wish they'd bring corn-bread back. It was delicious.

There's a KFC in Halesowen where a Travelodge was built. There was a Greggs there as well, and for a while it was a great place to go. Nowadays, the Greggs has closed, the Travelodge hardly seems to get any use, and last time I was in that KFC half the lights were off and no-one was in there except the staff. Food wasn't all that good, either.
The Aldi that was built in the same area seems to be the only part of that entire project doing well.

I've gone past there a few times and I thought that kfc had shut down.

I haven't eaten a McDonald's, Burger King, or KFC, in almost a year, and it feels great.

It's still open, I think. It definitely isn't popular, though.

I've been front-of-house in a Costa having to tell customers we can't serve any coffee. It's so frustrating having to tell the same tale of maintenance/supply chain woe to every person who comes through the door.
