The hoses stretch people, it even says it on the strawberry floating pump - why are you causing a massive queue by all lining behind the one side! :fp: :x

That annoys me as well but I was at a Morrison’s today and they must of had the shortest hoses ever, I attempted it and just gave up and went somewhere else

On the subject of petrol stations, I find it annoying that half of the pumps at Tesco are pay at the pump only, why not just make them all have the option to pay at the till or the pump

At my local Tesco petrol station every pump has Pay at Pump, but they turn the pumps off when the shop bit closes rather than the Pay at Pump bit being 24/7. Surely Pay at Pump means you can have the petrol station open 24/7 without the need for someone in the bloody shop.

I would imagine there is one hell of a risk of twats being twats if you let people access petrol with no supervision etc.

Plenty of other petrol stations have exactly that though. 24/7 unmanned stations that are pay at pump.

Don't the pay at the pump pumps only dispense once you've put your card and your pin in so you can't just fill up and run off?

Yeah you put your card in first and it must check you have at least £99 and then you can fill up, I stopped using it when I filled up a few years ago £20 but I was charged £40, I got the money back but I could have easily missed it if I didn’t check my statement and found the receipt in the car still

It only checks if you have at least £1, not £99. The full amount that you dispense comes out of your account around 3 working days later.

I take advantage of this greatly in the last week before payday.

4Music is one of the most annoying channels on TV.

It's supposed to be a music channel, yet whenever i'm watching, they're showing no music at all, just crappy repeats of 8 out of 10 cats, or some reality bollocks.

If i watch a music channel, i expect to get some music dammit! Especially since there's no other music stations on freeview.

It's almost as bad as ITVbe.

Imagine actually watching music channels in 2018.

It's like Spotify doesn't exist or something.

Why budget laptop manufacturers (in the £250 and under range) can fit their machines with an abundance of ports (mine has 3 USB ports, HDMI and audio jack) and still keep their keyboards thin, but the Surface Laptop 2, MacBook and MacBook Air are so stingy. I know the budget has gone elsewhere, but it’s not like ports are expensive.

Extra loud music in shops. Me and the wife were in Smyths (one of the big retail park ones) looking for Christmas present ideas for the little ones at the weekend and they had what sounded like Magic or Heart pumping out the speakers. It was distractingly loud, and was really annoying when the adverts started. Seemed odd that a business would have public radio playing instead of their own playlist.

The strawberry floating plumbing in this office. :fp:

After all the crap coming up into the sinks last week, they still haven't managed to fix the problems. Over the weekend the pipes leaked and caused a power outage and so yesterday (I wasn't in) they turned off all of the water for the entire building. Rather than close the office, they agreed with a nearby hotel that people could use those toilets and bought a load of bottled water for people to drink.

I have come in today and it is still going on, no water/toilets, warm bottled water to drink and it strawberry floating STINKS in here. :fp:

But the managers are ok because we had this email from the boss yesterday:

As a precaution please can all staff who have the facility to do so work from home tomorrow.

Please can all other staff come in as usual – while we hope very much that this plumbing issue will be fixed this evening; we will provide drinking water etc as per today in the event of further disruption.

The only people who have the facility to work from home are the managers. That's nice that they don't have to sit in here with all of the problems.

strawberry floating hell :dread:

And of course it's the managers who don't have to suffer. I bet the same managers often work from home on a Friday and Monday from their 'home office'.

The boss who sent that is often "working" from home. I am sure he gets a lot done. :simper:

Does he take at least an hour to respond to an email on Friday?

How is it a solution to go to a nearby hotel for a piss? :fp:
