Another of those shitty Nationwide adverts, the latest being two mates talking insufferable bollocks in a cafe.

When you're seeing if there's anything good on TV and notice a new live episode of Inside No.9 is halfway through. So you wait for it to finish and watch it on iPlayer, but then find out it was rescheduled due to technical problems and they showed a repeat instead. So you turn it off and go to bed disappointed. :x

And then you see what other people are saying about it online and it turns out the whole thing was deliberate. So you watch the second half and it wasn't that great anyway :x

The (increasing) number of restaurants that are serving halal only meat and not advising its customers of this practice. I've found out today that a couple of places I like going to do this and there's no advisory note anywhere in the restaurants or in the menus.

I wouldn't worry too much, you won't suddenly have an urge to convert and change your name to Mohamed.

tbh an astonishing amount of animals are slaughtered pretty much alive anyway. I mean they have to be alive before they can be dead, but a great deal are still bled to death. So in a strange way a particular religious superstition has raised awareness of slaughtering methods, whereas previously in "English" heritage hardly anyone bats an eyelid when they think of how an animal became meat.

Disclaimer: I'm not a vegetarian, meat is lovely.

When your phone breaks at 10pm, the new phone you've ordered needs a nano sim which you don't have, the nearest O2 shop is bloody miles away, and although you've ordered a nano sim (along with said new phone) from argos, you've no idea how you'll get your old number back. Oh and then you get an email saying your PSPlus is due for renewal which means another bloody £50 will have to be spent!

Also, trick or treat can f**k off.

This isn't a concern for me, where possible I just want some assurance that the animals I consume were killed humanely and not tortured. If the restaurants offered you a choice of halal or non-halal meat that would be fine, but as it stands I probably won't be going back.

Good luck with that, there are very few slaughterhouses (halal or non-halal) that aren’t horrific.

Vegans might be annoying, but they are right about how badly animals are treated.

Phone up O2 or go in and explain that you need to keep your old number. They'll transfer your old number to the new SIM. EE transferred my number over to this one when my old phone went kaput. All I said to them was that I needed to keep the old number. Took about 2 weeks to get my number transferred but apparently my request got "stuck in their system".

Okay, so new phone? check. New sim card? check.

Called O2, spent ages navigating through one of the worst automated menu systems i've come across in ages, but was finally able to talk to someone.

After some slightly confusing questions (which were difficult to hear because the staff member i was talking was most likely in the loudest call centre building ever), i was told that my old number would be transferred to the new sim in 24 hours.

So all i can do is wait, if nothing happens though, i will be forced to visit an o2 shop to get it done again, but hopefully it won't come to that.

You can just cut a traditional SIM / Micro SIM in order to fit a nano sim slot can't you?
