When games have a 'lives' system and then shower you with extra lives at every possible opportunity. Why bother having the system at all?

Lost my card. Can't find the smile thread but it turned up in my Uber yesterday and someone was kind enough to hand it in. He's going to bring it to me tomorrow!

I get annoyed when you have an advert for a mobile game and they try to pass off the base level of in-game currency you get at the start as some awesome bonus. For instance, there's one for a casino game that says something like "Get 5000 chips just for installing!"

Super Mario Bros - get three lives just for turning the game on!

Talking to friends in other parts of the country about how much they paid for their houses.

"Oh yeah our 5 bed detached with 2 acres of land only cost us £200k!" You have to pay more just to get an appointment with an estate agent around here.

I think the lives system is an outdated game design from the 80s/early to mid 90s that most games should ditch now. Not all, but most games. Super Mario Odyssey got rid of it for the first time in a Mario game I believe.

I overheard a conversation the other day where a guy was talking about getting his loft converted and had to have his house valued to be able to remortgage. “They valued it at £498,000, I think it should be far more than that!”. It’s a terraced house in Bedminster, Bristol. strawberry float me no wonder all us proper Bristolians are thinking of fleeing to Wales.

It’s just the Welsh that spoil it….

People who live near to me and are pumping out music intermittently; a few minutes of music blasting and then a few minutes of normaility. I think it's coming from the newer flats that have been built next to my block.
