One of them was the guy who filmed dead bodies in Japan, they mentioned that on the news and I half remember the story from last year.

The Paul brothers are genuinely weird guys who have built a career out of their knack for making "controversial" YouTube videos that 12-year-olds like, and then aggressively selling t-shirts & other tat with their faces on to those 12-year-olds. Logan Paul filming his giggling "reaction" to discovering a suicide victim in a forest in Japan is probably the worst thing he's done, but the whole network is insidious garbage. Never heard of KSI so can't comment on him, but I suspect he isn't much better if he is willing to be a part of their circus.

I've never watched a boxing match so I don't know what that means, but if there's any chance of the stage collapsing and killing them all, that would be my preferred outcome.

The BBC has also got into the habit of posting articles which are just a load of embedded tweets and then explaining what's been said in the tweets (even though we can see it perfectly well ourselves). Top notch journalism.

On a different note, one of my colleagues is doing my head in. Everything's a drama, she's constantly 'stressed', and - most irritating - is this thing where if you do something to help her she'll go "Oh yes! Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy? You are! Yes you are!" like you're a strawberry floating dog or something. She even does it over the phone to people. I mean WTF.

Yeah this annoys me as well. Lots of journalists seem to think "what was said about this on Twitter?" is a valid way to report something and that's insane. No-one cares!

This is a combination of cheapness, laziness, and solipsism.

Journalists are on twitter constantly, so they assume everyone else is. The quotes are easy to source, you don't need to go anywhere or contact anyone, so it saves the corporation resources.
