I put a complaint in to HR after I was automatically laid off (due to not being called in to work on zero hours basis for a couple of months for no reason), never got a reply, followed up, no reply, then I just wrote a giant "strawberry float you" type letter explaining all the problems wrong with the organisation to about 10 different top officials including marketing, PR etc., they obviously decided this wasn't good and the assistant head of HR called me up to discuss. But seeing as I wasn't employed by them anymore I guess I had nothing to lose.

This is the thing I worry about, I know there are complaints procedures in place that technically I can take. I also know that the manager is good friends with most of those above her and my gut feeling is any complaint won't be believed and will be brushed under the carpet. I also think there would be consequences. I work part-time but supplement my wages with a relief contract. I could see them telling me I wasn't needed to cover on relief out of spite. It's kind of moot at the moment anyway as Council policy says I need to make a complaint within 3 months of an incident.

It’s annoying me right now that I can’t get a song out of head and I just want to go to sleep

The worst song from that film. Easy to get stuck in your head though, considering how dull it is :dread:

Traffic on the roads. Took me 3 hours and 45 minutes yesterday to do 150 miles, covering 25 miles in the first hour and a half. I just can't see how this can improve without reducing vehicles on the road.

Yes?

It also hasn't helped that there has been no meaningful spending on the road infrastructure for at least the last 25 years.

It's been a case of cramming more and more vehicles on to a road network which simply isn't fit for purpose.

We should get those bloody cyclists to start paying some road tax rather than freeloading off us superior car drivers.

There's no such thing as road tax! And 99% of roads used by bicycles are maintained out of funds that cyclists pay into as well (e.g. council tax)

It's motorways and emissions isn't it? So London aside it's toll free.
