Wtf is that crap? If there is some discrepancy that means you need to actually keep the receipt with you until your bill arrives. At least here you just add it when you pay for the bill.

I will never understand how thst is a secure system. I asked at several places what would stop someone just writing what they want on the Bill.

"Oh it's only authorised for the main amount"

"...so how does the tip get added on?"

"We do that when you leave"

"But you could just write whatever you wanted and add a zero to the end of everything."

".....its only authorised for the original amount sir"

"..... :| "

I can deal with tipping in resteraunts in the States as I find that the service is normally very good and adds more to the experience than simply putting food and drinks on a table.

What pissed me off is that every banana split who does anything for you expects a tip to the point that you can almost bribe anyone to get a better service. A valet driver in Las Vegas said they made $100k from tips which is just strawberry floating mental.

How about we pay service industry employees a fair wage so they don't have to behave like servants in order to earn a livable amount?

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

We do, it's America that doesn't.
I'd much rather they just make slight price increases to the menu items and use that to pay the staff more, but they don't.

I suspect it's similar reasons to how in this country people respond more positively to smaller portion sizes in their shopping for the same price, than same size portions for a higher price.

Trying to get Voice Memo recordings off my girlfriend's iPhone and onto her laptop. I tried going through iTunes, but for some reason it puts voice memo data in with music. I go to sync, and it asks if I want to wipe all the data from the phone and sync with the laptop library.

Ended up having to download a third party program just to copy the files across. Ridiculous.

It was glorious when I got my galaxy s7 and dropped the iPhone after having a 4 and 5.

Drag and drop a file on to the sd card, and there it is ready to go.

That's flat out communism and would cripple the service industry. How could McDonalds make billions every year if they actually had to pay people enough to live on?

Maybe try and walk about a bit.

I'll agree 9/10 times on people clapping at landing a plane, but feel I have to let them slide if the flight had engine failure. Sure the pilot is extensively trained on how to fly and land planes with any number of engines busted but I doubt most people think of that.

Yeah normally that annoys me but it’s pretty understandable in that instance.

I agree with Met and Rocsteady, it’s absolutely fine to clap and cheer if the plane has engine failure.

If there's an instance of engine failure and you land safely, and don't die in a horrible fireball, I'd say you have every right to clap and cheer.

Disabled bays are fine, but I don’t see the point of parent and child spaces, they’re a little closer to the shop and give a little bit extra space but it’s not that hard to use a normal space.

They are handy, and would be fine if people with kids older than say 3 stopped using them.

If they weren't there at all I wouldn't mind, but they are and so people should use them properly.
