December 1st is where I start the hype. Christmas songs in the car, and whenever the first December weekend falls, we put all the decorations up.

Mince pies and Christmas dinners all year round though.

Yeah I add a heap of Christmas stuff to my Spotify account when December hits so I have Xmas fun mixed in with my usual music.

The only time I would personally elect to play Christmas songs would be if I was hosting a Christmas party. Quite why anyone would go to the effort of choosing to listen to it when it is broadcasted from every public speaker in the country for two months is beyond me. Do you not hear it enough?

I don't listen to the radio or go to shops so don't get exposed to that much Xmas music.

Exactly what Errkal is saying above. Don't go to the shops, don't listen to the radio, so if I don't do it then I get no build up to Christmas.

strawberry float off you miserable gooseberry fool.

I have no family left to visit, I don't live near any of my long time friends, I work right up until Christmas and don't really get to see or hear anything Christmas related unless I make it happen.

So yeah I'll be like a 5 year old if it brings back some of the happy feelings I used to get at Christmas.

gooseberry fool this reminds me. Manager/coworker played Silent Night a couple of weeks ago, to annoy a lady who said she didn't like xmas.
She then told me that the reason she didn't like xmas, is because her dad died near xmas and it reminded her of him.

How is that relevant? Are you saying that we can't enjoy xmas because your dad died?
