I made about £30 in an hour or so one night, at the time I was desperately poor and it was nice to think I was paying for my pint that evening by simply playing a musical instrument I'd trained hard enough on the see a fiver chucked my way (the most I've ever received was €10, in France).

Is it just Birmingham that seems to have a busking travelling band with trumpets?

Getting annoyed by the lack of disc releases of a lot of the TV series i want to see.

Agents of Shield Season 4, Stranger Things, The Man in the High Castle, and a bunch of others are all being denied a release on DVD/Blu Ray, and it really pisses me off.

Aren't they all by streaming services.

Not Agents of Shield, previous seasons have been on Channel 4/E4.

That's available on DVD and Blu-ray on Amazon.

I was talking about Season 4 of shield, it should have been out ages ago, season 5 is already being broadcast in the US.

So you were, I guess eventually it will appear, stuff is going streaming service more and more, which personally I prefer, but they really should do physical versions especially if they did for earlier seasons.

The problem with streaming though, is that my internet simply isn't fast enough to do it at a decent resolution, plus i prefer owning the physical product anyways.

I've also said this before but as someone who is gooseberry fool at parking (in that it takes me longer than it really should) it wrecks my head to have parked up perfectly only to come back to my car a bit later and find that the effort I put in to parking properly has been utterly negated by some oaf who has parked terribly beside me.

Quite a few years ago I was sitting in my car in a car park and observed someone return to their car but couldn't get into it as people had parked close to both sides. He did a quick look round to check no one was looking before entering the car via the back (it was a hatch back or estate) and struggling through to the front. The delicious icing on the cake was that just as he was pulling out, the owner of one of the cars parked next to him returned and got a lot of hand signals that no doubt left him very confused.

Yes?

I use a park and ride for work, and the parking is just the worst. I've had people parking directly behind my car, forcing me to go up a kirb and onto a green to get out (this has only happened once).

Other amazingly irritating things, people parking on junction boxes within the car park and on double yellow lines. Those strawberry floaters who insist on reversing into a space and taking forever, so a queue of traffic is waiting to get parked. People who saunter out of their cars and block you from driving by them because they are so slow at walking. Stupid bastards who park across two spaces.

You should move.

I'm beginning to get a few things on bluray so that films I really like can watch when I want and not just when they are available but for everything else now I stream. The internet connections really need to catch up with the modern world though.

Tell you what really strawberry floats me off and sets my day on a negative path right from the get go - when you get to work and your seemingly bi-polar manager is in a bad mood for no apparent reason and it creates a horrible tense atmosphere where everyone is walking on eggshells without knowing where the strawberry floating things are. Grinds my gears :x

Where what strawberry floating things are? Your manager probably failed to give their partner the goods the night before and has been scorned for it.

People that get ridiculously angry over the simplest things.

As part of our job, we have to sometimes verify that the addresses we hold are still valid. It’s the simplest form in the world, basically people just have to write their name, current address and previous address and sign it. We even enclose prepaid envelopes for them.

The last batch that were sent out had my name and email address on ( :x ) and one person is not happy. Some of the emails I have received in the last hour:

I receive you form but just want to transfer money out to other arrangment. Why send me the form?

I explained that we needed the form to verify his address and that we could not supply personal/financial information until we were satisfied that the address we hold was correct. I also said that it was a bulk exercise and we had written to several hundred people to check that the details we hold are correct.

Thanks for your reply but currently I'm unable to send you back the form.i can't see what is the problem if I can't send you the form ,I can't see any difference,if you provide me with the info which I requested . On the letter was statted that I can contact you via email if I provide you with my details which I've done,so you can easy write me here and tell me

I replied with a generic email that basically said “we need to make sure the address we hold is correct”.

Why do you need my address details? Why do you make it so complicated?!!so if I'm writing you it means that my address is correct and the tracing agency didn't done their job correctly:).

strawberry float me mate, it’s a simple form and you only have £30 in the account anyway.

I've had some advice similar from my business advisor today.

Customer complains about pointless thing that is a marginal oversight at best for an otherwise above and beyond product paid for and delivered and signed to that effect by a manager. There is no written record or any information from which a discrepancy can be identified ie there's no evidence of a mistake.

The advice I got was to literally just do nothing and if necessary say "the product has been delivered to a high standard. Best wishes" as there's nothing that can be done, alterations would mean replacing the entire batch at a loss of about 80% the original purchase price and put out the business into a cashflow disaster.

So yeah sometimes you just have to hold strong until someone gets the message and process here isn't changing based on some customer's alternative internal logic that cannot be implemented for x reason and knows nothing about the complexities and challenges involved (such as legal paperwork and financial regulatory requirements for example). In my experience this generally stems from a lack of trust in due process or professional judgement as customers want to control everything and ultimately just waste their own time getting a similar or same result, that or never providing sufficient details or information in the first place forcing the service to make assumptions or seek alternative resolutions.

You could always just say, "sorry but what you want cannot be performed until this requirement is met". Some people will continue batting for something that isn't possible, in which case they're welcome to just prevent getting what they want from the process they're complaining about.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."
