Don’t you live in Gloucestershire? I was talking about South Gloucestershire, which is a completely different county.

Just because of you, the next time I have anything to dump I will head much further north into the wilderness of Gloucestershire. Yate, Mangotsfield and Thornbury can have a break and instead Cheltenham can receive my filthy refuse.

I hope you are happy now Hexx.

You should definitely drive the 50 or so miles to drop off some of the items mentioned at a refuse center in Cheltenham. Make sure to tell us how it goes. :)

You’re right, why go all that way to use a refuse center?

Especially when places like this are available to dump things in.

I've never had to dump and entire van of stuff before, I can see why environmentally it's a problem, these things can often be given away.

I might have to head to the dump soon to throw out some furniture, which sucks as the last building I lived in you could put just about anything near the dumpsters and it would be taken away by the city. :x

banana splits who park other people's cars and leave them in gear.
When my car was serviced yesterday Audi collected it from my house and returned it to me, but when I got in my car this morning and started it up I didn't realise the monumental fuckwit had left the car in 1st gear. So when I started the engine and took my foot off the clutch (You have to press the clutch to start it) the car suddenly jerked forward against the handbrake. It's a good thing the handbrake was still on otherwise the car would have launched forward straight into my garage door.
I've no idea why he felt the need to leave the car in gear. My drive is completely level, there's no incline to it all.

Its incase the handbrake fails, ok your drive is level but if its a habit someone is in then theyre gonna do it any time they park a car. Best to check what gear youre in before taking your foot off the clutch.

It's a fundamental thing to learn - always give your gearstick a wiggle before you start the engine. Basic.

Pretty much everyone parks their car in gear, regardless of the car being parked on a incline or not.

This.

I never leave my car in gear and nobody else ever drives it, but I always check before I start the car.

I'm usually the only person who ever drives my car, and my last two were automatic, so I've never really needed to do it.
Personally I find it a stupid thing to do in a modern car unless you're parking on a steep hill but oh well.

People that seem to WANT you to be rude to them.

Literally sitting down to dinner, phone rings, begrudingly pick it up.

'Would you like to donate to...blah...blah...blah...to help children in...'
'I've just sat down to eat'
'This will only take 10 minutes'
'I'm eating'
'The children need your money'
'Look, I'm literally about to eat my dinner'
'The children aren't.'
'Well thanks to you neither am I.'
'The children...'
'strawberry float THE CHILDREN!!!! I DON'T CARE IF THEY'RE WORKING 20 HOURS DOWN THE MINES, strawberry float OFF!!!'

This seems like all the evidence we need that Laga is one of those gooseberry fool drivers/Americans that cannot handle driving a manual car. :dread:
