Many types of sweetener don't have calories. Most diet drinks therefore are calorie-free.

But it's an energy drink and therefore you'd assume it would give you energy. Which it can't if it contains no calories.

It's more "anti-tiredness" than "energy" in the nutritional sense of the word.

Zero-calorie energy drinks are great for getting through night shifts.

Or a black coffee...(as an aside I did actually order an espresso from McDonalds years ago when I did a taste testing exercise for my barista training, it was crap, but the black coffee is okay for what it is)

While we're at it: people who assume coffee is always white annoy me.

Netflix removing films.

I put these things in my list because I want to watch them, then they just disappear. :x

Has VPN access to Netflix gotten any better lately?

Being given a brief which amounts to product codes and abbreviations for something which is years old and you'd have no chance of understanding what any of it means anyway. Then when you find the old artwork, instead of it being a document per job, it's got pages and pages of other ideas in there rather than just being the one signed off thing, so I have no idea at all what us signed off and what is gooseberry fool.

Sounds like you need to grab a pack of crisps and just work through it all.

Hah. That is probably equivalent to the BS I get in my job where I will get an e-mail saying "can we get a quote for this urgently?" with a shitload of attachments and spreadsheets where no one has actually done a preliminary review of what is needed and when you ask, you are met with silence.

Yes?

That's pretty much it. I go on to ask for clarification and get silence, yet if I send artwork for whatever reason i get instand replies and phone calls.

Yeah it's called writing a brief which nobody does, surprising amount of work is spent figuring out what the strawberry float someone actually wants.

The mistake is assuming that anybody actually knows what they want.

Exactly. Which is why solution = sales.

I always dread it when someone says "we know exactly what we're looking for". They never, never do. If that were true, it already exists in some form, so why are you soliciting services? Couldn't you just copy it, buy it or do it yourself? These people are often project killers with no budget either. They think being close minded will make their project cheaper and faster. Nope. Never happens.

On a hospital ward, changing screaming baby's nappy. The TV is stuck on the One Show. There is only one remote on the ward and I don't have it. Richard Branson is on the sofa. They're talking about Strictly. Baby goes to sleep. I turn the TV off with the unit buttons. I go for the poo I needed. I sit back down and consider setting up Netflix. I look for the chocolate bar my wife bought for me. It's not there. Rustling bag wakes up baby. Baby starts screaming again.

Now scared to put sleeping baby down...

Going to checkout on Amazon and being greeted with a 'FREE POSTAGE' page, and a ridiculously small link to skip that and move to the actual checkout and P&P page. Intentionally cynical and misleading to get people to accidentally sign up for Prime.

You've always got to pay close attention to items that are sold by Amazon, a third party seller, and a third party seller shipping by Amazon as well.

Just get prime because it is cheap and really good value then you don't need to worry about it.

I think I mentioned this in the Amazon sneaky trick topic I created ages ago. My son fell into this trap last year but they let us cancel.

I had this earlier in the week, as soon as my order arrived I cancelled the membership, cheeky strawberry floaters. If they weren't as sneaky about it I'd be more likely to actually sign up to the thing but as they've tried to trick me they can strawberry float right off.

Isn't it £80 a year or something equally ridiculous?
