I don't see how there could possibly be any negative repercussions!

Funnily enough, i've encountered automatic ones on the continent, the first time i came across one, i was like 'what's going on here? Where's the damn button?'

These ones have a button surrounded by red lights. It couldn't be more obvious that the button hasn't been pressed when they're all stood there.

I'm glad someone raised traffic lights. People pushing the button when it has already been pushed sets me off for some reason. Irrational as all hell.

A lot of traffic lights recently have removed the little men. Instead you either get a timer ('YOU'VE GOT 10 SECONDS TO CROSS THE ROAD OR YOU'RE GOING TO DIE') and/or a loud beeping noise (BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP WHATTHEFUCKISGOINGON BEEP BEEP BEEP RUN!!!!!!!).

The beeping is for blind people I thought?

Also why not press the button again, the indicator might be broken

Annoys me when people ask a question and then straightaway-really-quickly ask a follow up question that might have been your answer. Example:

What sort of car have you got? BMW?

Winds me up.

They should send a bloodthirsty pack of wolves after people, I think.

Tried this out yesterday after reading your post. Very excited to learn new things.

Why does that annoy you? Because they guessed the answer?

I'm not sure why it annoys me, I guess it's because the person asking the question isn't really interested in your answer or has already answered their own question with an assumption based on something they think they know about you. How about just ask a question and let the person being asked answer it?

I think I'm grumpy. I heard someone do it at work today and it made me grind my teeth  :fp:

You have to end it as a question with a question mark. If anything teh questioning tone of their utter inability to complete your sentences with normally some personal judgment thrown in for good measure really ensures the annoyance!

Are you saying that I completed your sentence and got it wrong?
