I’d agree that fare dodging is wrong. But it’s beyond me why anybody gives a gooseberry fool if somebody else does it.
I rarely have to use public transport (thank goodness, can't be getting too close to the great unwashed ) but I'd imagine it's a sense of "I pay all this money and some git gets it for free" and a sense of a general lack of respect of the social constructs and norms that modern society has established.
I agree. But I still don’t see why anybody cares.
Surely it's a basic sense of fairness? There are plenty of things that people justifiably get annoyed about because of a lack of fairness.
It makes no real difference to me if I pay for the train but somebody else hides in the toilet when the inspector comes.
