Can't you see how Christmas without a loved one can be painful? Especially if you used to do a lot with that person? A big part of Christmas with my mum was putting the decorations up and as a lot of them were made by us throughout various stages of life, talking about them and reminiscing was great, all to the soundtrack of Christmas songs.

(Re: Christmas chat.) I really dislike Christmas to be honest. When you don't have close ties to your family it loses its charm, and my experience of Christmas as a grown-up is that it's just a quiet time of year where I can catch up on work and gaming without having to be at the office or at Uni -- that's fine, but on some level it stings to be doing that while you know everyone else is having this kind of special experience.

But I'm genuinely happy for other people who enjoy it. One day (a while yet...) I'll be thinking about spawning an offspring and trying to make sure it doesn't turn out as messed-up as I did, and at that point I imagine Christmas will start to feel more significant.

The joke's on you guys - I just broke into my managing director's office (I walked through the building with my hand over my face so no one recognised me) and logged into his PC and checked out the thread that way so I know you're lying. I even wrote a note on his desk saying "Preezy wasn't here" which will totally throw the rozzers off my trail.
