Anything's worth a try, I guess. I'd be surprised if they freely gave out that kind of personal info though? That's why I'm trying to find the agent too, as they could deal with it by going through their existing relationship with the owner (although I realise most are useless and uninterested). Just annoying I can't find the previous listing.

We got rid of a few tenants when we lived in the flat, by contacting the letting agent.

Not every rental will go through an agency, sometimes it's all just directly with the landlord.

I've got a lot of empathy for you in that situation, Red... bad neighbours are truly frustrating. From what you have described, I would suggest notifying your local community police of the violence and window breakage, just so that they are aware of it.

One of my other neighbours contacted the police about a crazy argument my neighbours were having (not unusual for them) and, since then, they have generally been a lot better. May be worth a try the next time your neighbours are being asses.

Good thinking, we've been recording the times and number plates of the various cars that come and go in case the drugs thing ever comes to a head, but the rest of it should be recorded too I guess. Thanks.

I'll look into the community police thing too. We did call the police the other day when they almost hit my BF in their car by driving the wrong way up the one-way main street after dark (he stepped out on a green man not expecting there to be anything coming that way, for obvious reasons...), but they said there wasn't much they could do. At least it's on record.

We've tried to frame some of it up as amusing for our own sanity. Sarah (we know their names from the shouting) woke us up at 3am screaming at Carl because he'd done some sort of epic turd and had stunk the flat out. He ended up on the street outside for a bit.

The thing is, there's no sort of grading to their arguments. It's nothing or 11. He might have borrowed her slippers or injected heroin in the living room - you can't tell, the response is equally histrionic. Likewise he can't modify his response to anything either. They're both completely emotionally incontinent.

I mean, it's funny, but also getting to a point where you think one of them is going to actually hurt the other (or themselves, judging by the stupidity on display). But as they're both as bad as the other it's difficult to say one is abusive. They just have this awful toxic relationship.

Carl keeps locking himself out of the house and having to come through ours to climb through the back window into his kitchen too (our yard is the back of both houses, they don't have any outside space). Once I can understand, three or four times is taking the piss a bit. Or is just indicative of the wider idiocy at work.

Christ I hate them.

It is weird how some couples seem to have that kind of relationship. It's almost like they get off on the confrontational - and sometimes abusive - nature of how they act.

Yeah, its weird. It's literally never ever going to get better - every argument is just more fuel for the fire, something else to bring up next time, something to create more resentment and anger. They're never going to have any peace together.
