Sorry to bump this, but this Prime exclusive gooseberry fool really drives me mad. I'm hoping to buy a Playmobil History toy for my nephews Christmas present, but its out of stock at the closest toys r us and of course its Prime only on amazon. :x Fine, I'll take my money elsewhere.

Try Smyths Toys. They're usually cheaper anyway when I was looking at toys for my niece.

Heating being turned up too high in work. I'm constantly in danger of nodding off and I don't like it.

The temperature in my office is up and down like a whore's drawers, surprised more people aren't perpetually ill.

We have no control over it, but thinking about what you said there, it's probably better we don't for that reason. Im just glad I don't sit near menopausal women anymore.

The AC in our place is permanently too high, so I bought a USB Desk fan for myself.

Off on a week up to Scotland next week for training (But on expenses :toot: ) and then off until 8th January from next Friday :toot: :toot:

FFS, had a phonecall from someone from John Lewis saying they'd messed up with exchanging my faulty TV for a replacement and instead have refunded me thinking I was simply returning it.

I now have to order another one myself but can't until paypal decide to actually release the money back into my bank account.

I guarantee they'll be out of stock by the time I can order another.

Crowded places. I cannot hack them, and this time of the year is just killer. Went for my Christmas dinner and we ended up in a club that was crazy busy.

My idea of hell. I lasted 10 minutes. Sometimes I think I'm abnormal as strawberry float for feeling annoyed by these types of situations.

I think that happens the more switched on you are. Only thick/strawberry floated people actually enjoy or are otherwise oblivious to unnaturally crowded places. Maybe they feel safer, like sheep.

Yeah, that's not right.

Although incredibly busy bars/clubs are annoying as long queues and not enough space to dance.

Paypal still haven't actually transferred my refunded money back to my bank account, its showing as 'complted' on Paypals site but there's no sign of it on my online bank statement, it's not even on the pending transactions section yet.

I genuinely don't understand how it takes so strawberry floating long to do something that should theoretically happen in milliseconds - unless of course they deliberately hold the funds in order to keep the miniscule interest accrued over a few days.

I'm being facetious, but I think it's probably true that the more alert you are the more you're going to find that kind of environment slightly painful because there's so much going on.

And the best solution is obviously to get drunk and deactivate a few brain cells. I say that sympathetically but I exaggerate, isn't that what this thread is about. Plus spoonfuls of sarcasm, calm down lads

For context, I really hate places like Yates and Weatherspoons isn't much better. But I just booked my NY ticket for a literal warehouse rave in Peckham with 500 people, so maybe I'm more confused than I normally am. I do actually like to test myself like that, but I'm tolerating a lot of the negative aspects of crowded spaces and giant parties etc. Sometimes it's just not an enjoyable cocktail but other people love it. I've been to hundreds of thousand strong festival gigs and rallies, processions but my experience is you have to literally stop thinking a bit to enjoy it.

Sometimes I enjoy being in the thick of it, sometimes I don't. As I suffer from anxiety, it's that mindset in which I write that, expressing fear, which is no compliment to me. I don't obviously believe people are stupid but when you're incapable of letting your hair down and relaxing you feel like there must be something wrong with you or everyone else, you feel alien. It's from that place I understand what he's saying.

Sometimes I say mean things just to see what it feels like :shifty:

I'm an oddball in that I really like Wetherspoons. The mobile app is excellent — I feel so smug when my beer is delivered straight to me without having to go to the bar — they have a great selection of ales and there's no music blaring away so you can talk to your friends without losing your voice.

You remind me what Weatherspoons actually is but it's been years.. I'd like my drink delivered. :toot: it used to take 45 min to queue for a drink at my student union. strawberry float that. I really think it comes down to how the venue is managed. Blaring music where you literally can't talk or think, strawberry float that. How is that social, all you can do is dance yeah (and I dance a lot) but only if the music isn't half gooseberry fool.

I like more authentic venues like pubs and if it's a club make it a club not some weird half club pub with a menu and things.. I guess I need to get out more to evaluate what I actually like. Which is why I just booked that NY, first one in London :slol:

I had no idea this was a thing

Might go to spoons sometime just to try that.
