strawberry floating football ruins everything.

Just go to ‘Spoons, they don’t usually have TVs showing live sport and you can buy Fosters quite cheap to go with your lovely meal.

Win win.

They clash. So for a period it’ll be nothing but sport on BBC1, BBC2 and ITV. :datass:

So much for the eBay Shipping Program protecting the seller. They’ve damaged an item I sent (because for some reason eBay opened it up and resealed it). And now I’ve got to also refund the buyer for the return, and I’ve got a damaged product in return. I would have had more protections from Royal Mail.

I tell you one thing i do find particularly irritating, and that's when I'm watching a show on TV (usually some sort of awards shindig or live event) only to find myself being subjected to a political lecture by a celebrity.

I don't get why celebs use these live platforms to spend their time preaching to us, they are in their line of business to entertain us with their music, movies, TV dramas, sports etc, not to further whatever cause is considered trendy. If i want to hear a political viewpoint, i'll do so by watching a proper show on the subject.

Reading this post in a Terry Wogan voice makes it sound like a Points of view letter from 1987.

It's always a little jarring when they try and tell you about taking care of the planet when they've chartered a private jet to the event. Like, lead by example, guys.

I thought once it was delivered to eBay it was all done on your part making it eBay's problem?

If they genuinely care about an issue, why shouldn’t they?

There’s a weird trend at the moment where as soon as a celebrity speaks out on an issue, people rush to tell them to shut up and stick to what they know. Why can’t ex-footballer Linekar use Twitter to speak his opinion on refugees just because ex-builder Steve thinks all refugees are ISIS?

That only seems to be true if they’ve lost it. Otherwise it’s an absolute nightmare. The onus is still all on the seller to sort it out (the return postage no longer handled by eBay either). What makes it worse is that the postage is cheaper for me as a seller (UK rates to the UK based shipping centre) compared to the buyer who has to be refunded whatever the international service is to send it back to the U.K. Item worth + postage cost me £4. It cost the buyer however £6 to post back, plus the product. So thanks to eBay’s Global Shipping Centre I am -£4 and have a damaged item that they’ve strawberry floating damaged.

EBAY.

I generally only take offence when millionaire celebrities go on TV and tell me that I'm the one not doing enough for charity and should donate more money.

But it says right in their page that you aren't responsible for loss or damage once it reaches eBay and you are responsible for refunding postage paste the eBay place.

https://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/private ... -programme

You aren't responsible for item loss or damage that occurs after the item reaches the UK Shipping Centre. Once an item has been forwarded by the UK Shipping Centre, you won't be responsible for refunding the buyer if an eBay Money Back Guarantee or PayPal Buyer Protection case is filed against you for one of the following reasons: A buyer claims an item isn't received or a package is damaged in transit.

That’s fair enough, although it’s quite likely that the millionaire celebrity is donating lots of money themselves.

The fact that they live in a mansion and own several supercars means they can still afford to donate more than me.
I'll donate more when these celebrities live in a 3 or 4 bedroom house in the North of England and drive nothing more expensive than an Audi A4 because they're donating the rest of their money to charity.
