I like that. It's good. I'm going to find a way to use it in conversation this week.

She’s still moaning! “I’ve gone from scrabbling around for work to being too busy!!”.

Shouldn’t have spent all of yesterday and half of today moaning about having no work then should you!

Did you say "Busy? I'll show you busy!" and then show her all the posts you've made on GR?

It really seems to bother you that I post on GR a lot.

No, I don’t need to show her how busy I am. Mostly because I am an efficient worker and am capable of planning my work out so that I get everything done, can help other people out and still find time to piss around on here.

Maybe you should try some time management training Death Head? It might help you out if you are struggling. :simper:

I'm always busy. My work queue is ridiculous at the moment.

She should adhere to unspoken slacker's work rule No.4, pretend you are working if you don't have any to do. Don't broadcast that you are bored. Enjoy the downtime.

She broadcasts everything.

“I AM SOOOOOO BUSY AT THE MOMENT”
“OH MY GOD I HAVE NOTHING TO DO AT THE MOMENT”
“I AM GOING TO LUNCH NOW”
“MY BUS WAS LATE THIS MORNING”

I don't get paid by the job so the work doesn't run out. I will never be in a position where I have a workload for the day and get to finish when it is complete.

Sounds like you work slowly as you have no target dates to aim for.

I don’t get paid per job or get to leave when my work for the day is finished either. All my work items have target dates which I always complete in advance of the target date and I am also always willing to help anybody else out as needed.

We have target dates to aim for, but multiple projects running all of the time. We just bring things forward when something completes early and usually have a backlog of 6 months work so it is impossible to complete everything ahead of time. If it was possible, clearly there are too many heads for the workload and I would need to cut back on team size.

Liam Neeson, who has a net worth of over $75million, telling me that I'm the one not doing enough to help children living in poverty.
