He is not the kind of guy that you can speak to. He'd escalate things to shouting and violence within moments. I (and other residents) have had the flat managment committee write to them about noise issues, though. Trouble is, they're the kind of people who do not give a gooseberry fool about anybody else.

But the good news is that the music has stopped. I hope that is it for tonight!

Websites that automatically load in more articles, so you can never actually get to the bottom of the page to click on "contact", "about" etc. Like an epic troll. But ultimately you've made a strawberry floating gooseberry fool WEBSITE.

i think ive posted about this before, but websites have really gone down the shitter in the last 10 years or so; what happened to a simple, functional, easy to browse website? now most of the 'big' names have the shittiest bloated awfully designed websites imaginable :fp:

What really boils my piss is websites that have terribly implemented drop down menus which either fill the whole screen and the won't disappear when you accidentally hover over them or keep disappearing unless you keep the mouse cursor in exactly the right place with robotic precision - Amazon and Ebuyer both are particularly bad for this, sometimes it'll take several attempts for me to navigate to the part of the site I actually want.

Worse are when they do this but have nothing to handle a touch device, I mainly use android at home now and so very often you can't use menus like this as it registers click on whatever the heading is and there is no way to view when is on the sub menus.

I like ShopTo (good pricing and, for me, a long record of reliable, fast delivery) but their website is absolute pony. It's awful, I can barely find anything on it - the search function doesn't really work, it's incredibly slow to navigate and it's hard to identify what they're selling themselves and what partner companies are selling.

You probably want to stop using the Wii U browser then.

 . Since I got my tablet I haven't really used the Wii U for net browsing... before that I used it for literally hundreds of hours :shifty: . Mainly keeping up to date with GR, of course :datass: .

I occasionally used my PSP for net browsing but would have lost my mind if that was my sole means of getting online.

This cheeses me off too. They should at least limit the number of auto loading articles.

But sadly I will never again address these design mistakes because I don't develop much anymore. Thank strawberry float, it was driving me nuts seeing and being asked for terrible design choices everywhere.

I was on a site on mobile recently where you couldn't find basic information like rate for room hire or facilities unless you taped on a picture. So you're hiding essential information about a product behind an image of it but have no idea if you want it because you don't have the facts. It literally just looks like a list of photos, it's bizarre.

I later learnt only on desktop that you are supposed to "accidentally" mouse over each image to reveal the information. But there is no mouse-over behaviour on mobile, so you have to tap it.

Imagine walking around a gallery tapping photos to reveal information about it. strawberry floating ridiculous, that website should never have been sold.

Even worse, the website in question has a fullscreen autoplaying youtube video that you have to click to skip to get to the main website. I thought this gooseberry fool died in the 90s? apparently not. I just anonymously complained to the designers because it's so embarrassing I don't even want to waste my time by giving out freebies, and the website in question already wasted my time by making access to information I needed at the time harder than it needed to be.

Same gooseberry fool there, a full screen of fast moving, low contrast imagery you can barely perceive, to do what exactly, for what purpose? What information is being communicated? That you want to confuse the hell out me by giving me a PTSD flashback of an office/studio? strawberry float off. A giant thumbs up, which tells me nothing except you think you're cool. What the strawberry float is this website? Who knows.

Just saw this, incredible example of poor navigation, it would be a great satire of how common this is on wanky websites if it weren't a real example of a company website

I don't understand how these people stay in business selling literally gooseberry fool design. So yeah that's part of the reason I retired because seeing people successfully sell this gooseberry fool (with admittedly better selling techniques than I had, but far better sense of the craft it would seem - as a communication product, not... whatever the strawberry float this is .. the Chinese Room?).

When people arrange meetings half an hour before you're due to start your lunch break. It's going to overrun, you'll be late anyway and I'll be in a strawberry floating meeting instead of having a break, then I've got to go to the OTHER meeting someone has arranged 15 mins before my break is due to end. strawberry float sake.

Managers and consultants querying your timesheet two months later. “Oh I was wondering what this quarter of an hour was for that you put on in November 2017?”, because yeah I am really going to remember what I spent 15 minutes on 2 months ago. :x

And yes, the 15 minutes was probably GRTime.
