The fact that Gladiators is back tonight, and it seems to be everything I've been asking for since the original ended in 2000

Did you like the previous reboot they did in the 2010s? I can't remember where it was broadcast though.

Sky did a reboot that I don’t think anyone watched.

No, it tried to be too edgy and dark. Gladiators needs to be flashy and colourful.

Well that was bloody brilliant. Not sure why Clattenberg was putting on a Scottish accent though, when he's from County Durham.

I got my final results for last semester and I'm on course for completing my degree with a high 2:1. If I do really well this semester I might possibly get a First. Either way I'm pretty happy with the way things are going :)

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Dáire is a kid who has a lot of challenges to deal with and it's just fantastic that he got to visit his favourite football club. Premier League clubs often - quite rightly! - get some stick about the money in the game but you have to give credit where it's due and Liverpool did a terrific thing here.

I know, right? . I guess it's like the news in that people will skim over good stuff and spend a lot of time focusing on the bad  .

Even though my original post is now invalid, the new avatar image makes me smile, too. I'm smiling because of the now-obsolete post and because of GAME's rubbish wording on the "end of rewards" email. Double smiling :) .

I'm glad you like it. It was actually quite technical to pull off... I had to edit some CSS code from the GAME email in the browser, screenshot that, then add some space for the GAME logo so it would sit properly. I did that all in MS paint and then resized it using Photos in Windows 10.

As a graphic design pro it's kind of fun doing basic stuff without having to install Photoshop or wait 30 seconds for it to load even on an SSD and a CPU with 8 cores . And with not much attention paid to it's quality... but enough that it would still be passable as an attempt. Much like the reference material.

This is part of my series on low effort avatars describing mediocre attempts at video games public relations issues. By 2034 I will have elevated this to a high art, incorporating elements of minimalism and social commentary.

The bonus theme is things that just say GAME repeatedly or redundantly, or in a variety of inept, spurious and/or whimsical ways.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

I have a feeling that there will be many GRcadians (dozensofus.gif) eagerly looking out for your socially-combatative-and-yet-minimalistic avatar artworks over the next few years, GG. And we'll all be smiling :) .
