When I was returning home from dropping my kids off this morning, I had to go down a few residential streets. There were quite a few parked cars and the refuse collection truck was out, blocking the road temporarily. It only held me up for about 2 mins so I was on my way, but the oncoming traffic (travelling in the same direction as the truck) was being held up much longer so when they got the chance to turn off, they did this rather than wait behind the truck. They (about 4 vehicles) turned into a narrower road and further up that road was another refuse truck.

Out of the frying pan into the fire. Delicious!

Yes, I am a bit of a bastard enjoying other people's misfortune.

My flat is inside a series of narrow streets operating on a one way system, and full of parked cars. The first thing I saw when I woke up yesterday morning and looked out my living room window was a bin lorry crawling it's way up the street with about ten cars furiously inching their way along behind it, nowhere else to go. Made my morning.

Neighbours who are drunk and/or off their heads and played loud music - clear enough that I could hear every beat of every track - until 3:30am this morning. This enabled me to have an unexpected session on my PS4 and cancel my pre-order for Final Fantasy XV.

Fu**ed-up, brainless neighbours helping me to save money .

A group of girls walking past my flat, yelling "strawberry float off you midget! strawberry float off! Haha!".

Not at me, I hasten to add, but it still brought a smile to my face. Youngsters today and their sense of fun .

I was, of course, being cynical about the awful neighbours and the sweary girls, but the records ones are always totally "yay!".
