When blackbirds lay sunbathing on the shed roof (or occasionally the patio), seriously funny to see them laying in a row with their wings spread out and beaks open.

It's usually just one bird at a time but the record is six, all in the same pose

Ooof. That line caused a rather sad, reflective smile to appear, Alvin!

I've not really had chance to look up much feelgood stuff, as promised, jawa. Sorry.

However I was just looking through my Photobucket account for pics for your Show & Tell thread and came across something I put together for a photoshop thread ages back. Better than nothing.

I've only just seen this, Dan!

It made me feel a bit " " rather than " :) ".

Even though we heard of the sad passing of Iwata today, I just broke into a smile as "Live it up" played on Absolute 80s whilst I was drawing some Iwata stuff. We're holding our GRcade "tribute" kart racing at 21:00 and I'm kinda happy that we're trying to pay our respects in this way. It's a small, silly thing... but it just feels right.

I like it when shop staff are welcoming; it can make such a difference.

I love the feeling of discovering an old song - one that you were unfamiliar with - and it really growing on you. I know very little (nothing!) about Neil Diamond but "Sweet Caroline" now makes me feel good whenever I hear it.

Completely uninteresting fact. That Neil Diamond dude went fishing about 3 miles from my house a few weeks back. Yeah, I had no idea who he was.

How can people have no idea who Neil Diamond is? I wouldn't say I knew loads of his songs but he's pretty well known!

I met 2 people last week who don't know who Michael Caine is.

MiniDiscs.
They're so lovely and perfectly shaped. It makes me a little sad they didn't get their chance to fly as they were killed off by the rise of the mp3.

They did appear to be pretty cool but, yeah, they arrived just a little too late to make an impact. Sony spent quite a while trying to make them popular but it just didn't work out.

Nice memory, man!

I LOVED my minidisc player. Bought it on impulse one lunch time along with a pack of 20 recordable minidiscs, then proceeded to put a load of bootlegged gigs on there, full track names etc along with remixed versions of my favourite albums. So bloody good at the time to have this non degrading audio format that fitted (sort of) in my pocket AND let me skip tracks.

Not my photo!

But mine was probably worse than that in the end.
