Why not just make this the Civ Saturdays thread like it was before?

I say Hugo makes the Civ 5 thread into Civ 5 Saturdays, I won't be able to play for a least a month :cry:

So I found a copy of this (Civilization IV: Complete - not 'The Complete Edition' so it looks like I'm missing out on an expansion pack called Colonization) on disc at a charity shop on Saturday for a pound. A pound!

Runs perfectly on my laptop. Very pleased. My Civ experience until now has been entirely Civilization Revolution on the 360 so I'm looking forward to spending some time with this.

Is that Leonard Nimoy reading the quotes for the various techs, by the way? :wub:

Anyone got any good tips for newbies? I'm still on my first game, I'm winning although I'm on the easiest setting and haven't had a battle yet...

I've only been playing Civ IV, I haven't touched the expansions yet. However reading back through this thread it sounds like Beyond the Sword is the one to go for. What's the difference? If I choose to play Beyond the Sword, am I basically just loading the same game, but with loads of extra stuff included too?
