I still go in that arcade. They used to have a brilliant X Men beat em up.

It's still there? Wow. 8-)

I made a similar discovery in 1986, 31 years ago. In the summer after my 'o' level resits, me and 2 friends took the train to Clacton on sea. After playing all our usual favourites we encountered "Gauntlet". Similar to you, this cleared the 3 of us out.

36 years ago, a friend said he had something amazing to show me after school. Unlikely, but was worth going to prove him wrong.

We enter a fish & chips shop to see Space Invaders! WTF? These were the days before consoles so to see this was simply amazing. My friend was right.

It is. Mostly coin drop machines now but I think they've still got a time crisis and a few others. Arcade in Tenby is better.

It's now been longer since the release of Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts than it was between Banjo-Tooie and Nuts and Bolts.

This day 2 years ago (thanks to Google Photos) this dog was constantly spamming me with his ball for like an hour and same day I made this Splatoon shirt for someone in the USA I think.

This time 20 years ago I was staying at a mate's house when the Diana news came through. Was so strawberry floating hung over as we'd drunk a bottle of vodka ther night before.

...blimey :o . N&B seems to be one of those games that folk like more now than they did at launch.

Then you probably didn't realise there was strawberry float all on TV to watch. Only one channel wasn't spammed up with Diana stuff.

This time 13 years ago (10th Sept) Burnout 3 Takedown was released.

It was the first game I'd ever pre-ordered.

It was the first time I'd booked a day off work to play a game. Those were the days of ordering from Gameplay to get it the day before. I was in the pub with work colleagues on the Thursday, knew it was at home and was so excited at the thought playing it.

I'd only got Xbox Live in the July so this was the first game were I felt I would be starting on an equal footing ability wise.

Loved it. Spent pretty much the whole weekend playing it online with people from here.

This was the start of probably my favourite ever spell for gaming with PES 4, Star Wars Battlefront, Outrun 2 and Halo 2 all to follow shortly.

I'd gone from never pre-ordering a game to pre-ordering all of these plus Doom 3 which ended up getting pushed back to the following spring.

Around this time 20 years ago I'm sure I was given an Nes with Mario bros by my uncle. That is how the video game obsession began I guess.

17 years ago I moved to Cheltenham. Bought a new PS1 and a copy LoK: Soul Reaver. Loved every frustrating moment of it.

Indeed. Great music too. But gameplay was damn headache inducing in places.
