I hope it's all CGI.

CGI is the answer to everything.

Sigh. I was thinking about buying the Captain Scarlet box set before Christmas. I'm still tempted now but at 23 I just can't bring myself to do it.

I wouldn't complain, let a new generation of kids watch a good show. Much like I was given the option with like Spiderman and Batman.

The "New" Captain Scarlet was all right, but clearly watered down for the kiddy audience. The CGI too really wasn't all that impressive, despite Anderson claiming it to be revolutionary..really? Had he not seen Advent Children at all?

New generations don't need updated versions of things. Give them the originals and if they don't like them, tough. Their loss.

Gerry Anderson was a Dynomaniac. Think about it:
- The Thunderbirds used to rescue people from stuff blowing up
- Stingray used to regularly blow stuff up
- Captain Scarlet was a guy he could blow up week after week and he always came back for more.

He was the Jerry Bruckheimer of the 1960s.

 I looked on YouTube for some Thunderbird explosions but there's nothing :| I did find the movie they done though...

The most elaborate spacecraft ever created?

And some serious discussion on the physics of Thunderbirds, over on this video...

You couldn't find any explosions? Every single episode had explosions, and things didn't explode just once, oh no, they exploded at least three times, one after the other, pow, kaboom, shakow!

The giant Thunderbird 3 they've got at Blackpool is also pretty cool. It's quite surreal just driving down the front and suddenly you notice they've parked Thunderbird 3 at the side of the road.

I swear. Get on YouTube and try and find some clips of explosions!

I was hoping to come back here with a clip of a pile of scrap metal exploding

Huh, just found this whilst looking for explosions on youtube (there really aren't any!), it isn't going to change anyone's mind about this new series. :fp:

This is a trailer for a proposed CGI Thunderbirds series that was meant to have aired in 2005 but never saw the light of day.

That's more like it, best I could find was the intro

I was looking for the spectacular death of the crablogger, one of my favourite episodes.

Hmm, not spectacular at all actually, curse you rose tinted memories!

I think they should build airships, imagine a holiday on one of those.
