So the game died on PC because of it being on Xbone too? I loved the first game and put a good number of hours into it.

About the only real problem I had with Titanfall was the match-making. It would consistently put a team of low level players up against a team of triple/quadruple prestiged power players. Made some games extremely frustrating.

Cal wrote:I remain very skeptical about this game. First, disclosure: I fully bought into the first Titanfall game - I paid out for all the DLC maps and I had some fun playing online. What I really wanted, though, was to be able to play offline against AI and pursue an offline career using all the DLC maps I'd paid for. That was never forthcoming (despite other developers, notably Guerilla with Killzone Shadow Fall, having done precisely that), so my interest with Titanfall fell off a cliff and I never bothered with it again. I made a level one error: I wanted Titanfall to be something it resolutely was not - and never would be.

Titanfall 2 will remain at the periphery for me until or unless I see clear evidence that there is a viable offline career progression using all the MP maps with AI (both on your side and enemy teams). After the lunacy of Star Wars Battlefront (another game I have long since set aside and given up as yet another MP-only exercise in wasted money) I'm not willing to take any more chances with these large Triple-A releases (and, sadly, Doom looks like being another to get the chop from my list of possible purchases - I've seen nothing that inclines me to pay out for the game).

So I'll keep an eye on Titanfall 2 (as I will Doom), but I feel pretty sure these are not the games I've been looking for...

Him and nick are like pinky and perky. Never change.

Played the first one, wasn't very good, didn't enjoy it, won't be getting this one unfortunately.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

I bet this will cost a fortune, for what; a little statue, a usb stick, a notebook, a bracelet and a strawberry floating scarf. I swear, the games industry reminds me of the creepy junk lady from Labyrinth:

Graphics went from 'looks good' to 'hmm not sure' back to 'it looks good!'.

Looks fun as hell though.

Always wanted to play the original but couldn't justify the money on a MP only game. This looks...OK I suppose. The Last Guardian with robots and shooting. Might be worth a punt.

We learned so much on Titanfall, and we poured those lessons into Titanfall 2. We have created a whole new matchmaking system - one that is constantly searching for better matches for you. We are going to be introducing a new feature called Networks, which is going to change the way you party up and play matches with friends. We are using a brand new system for running our massive army of dedicated servers all over the world. We have new gameplay mechanics, all new titans, new maps, new game modes, and a whole new progression system.

Looks great, I wonder if they have anything up their sleeve to give them the edge over CoD and Battlefield.

They don't need anything for me up their sleeve, always preferred Titanfalls MP over BF or COD. Day 1 for me, think I'll go with the Xbone version for this. Unless it's gimped compared to the PS4 version..

Didn't play much of the original but really enjoyed what I played for Titanfall 2 this evening. The MP trailer really conveys how great the traversal feels
