It's a shame. I loved the campaigns in Vegas 1 and 2.

Could say the same thing about Titanfall.

I'm still interested in this but I doubt I'll be picking it up this year, way too many games to play.

Well not really as all Rainbow 6 games had campaigns...

This game is D.O.A. for me, then. Another one to cross off my list... :|

True.

Though with games like this, COD and Battlefield are perfect examples, I don't see the point in single player modes anymore. There usually crap, tacked on modes where most of the time and resources go on multiplayer.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

The T-Hunt in this isn't bad, but it's a bit stripped down in comparison to the same mode found in Vegas. There's not as much customisation, which is a big issue.
I don't see why there shouldn't be an SP - just make big buildings to sweep and clear out. One building, one level. Not that hard, surely.

Hold up. Bots? As in 'you can play vs AI bots offline' bots? :o

That's essentially what T Hunt is, except you're in a co-op team against 20/30/40/50 'bots'.

Must admit it's not blown me away either, I mean I've not had a solid play session with a group which is obviously what it's designed for but I seem to spend half my time hanging around waiting for games to start or finish. The actual time playing itself doesn't really feel that different to your standard run and gun shooter aside from the fact you only get one death per game which can become a bit of an annoyance. The protecting or attacking the goals have all been a bit confusing to become enjoyable yet too.

Don't think I'll cancel my order yet but if the reviews are mixed it seems like one to avoid.

Might wait till its available on the cheap.

Not good to hear that T-Hunt is missing options, without SP that's kind of a big deal.

Yeah you basically unlock 'operators' who are characters with a specific bit of gear. You can't change their armour density, the type of gun they carry, barely any of the gadgets, it's a bit gooseberry fool.
On the harder difficulties it's a lot of fun still, but it's just missing something, figuratively and literally.

You can change both gun types and both gadgets.

Not being able to change armour is a bit of a non issue.

Really disappointed this has no campaign mode - what a shame. I've really enjoyed the previous games in the series and was looking forward to this but I doubt I'll bother if it's online only.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Yes I know that. I should have been more specific - in the 2 Vegas games, you can take ANY 2 gadgets, and ANY main weapon (assault rifle, sniper rifle, smg, whatever) alongside a wide range of sidearms.
Also, being unable to change individual armour pieces to suit your play style - whether it be choosing mobility over protection or vice versa on a sliding scale - actually IS an issue.

Hmmm it's not what the game is about though, being able to pick any combination of equipment. You choose your base skill and then customise within that. The idea is to make up a team that will win you the match having full customisation would kind of get in the way of that.

Not being able to fanny about with unlimited equipment is certainly not one of the issues I've had over this weekend.

It's what T-Hunt has been about for the last 2 games at least though, so to me they're stripping out features. I've played hundreds and hundreds of hours of T-Hunt, I appreciate your comments but Siege is a step back from T-Hunt, or 'classic' T-Hunt, shall we say.

Some good things I will say, without bleating about the past games - some of the gadgets are brilliant. My guy, Fuze, his charge is absolutely mental.

Some of my best Rainbow Six memories are playing Vegas 1 & 2 terrorist hunt, splitscreen with a friend. Dat Wartown map

Is that so much to ask? Why can't they just stick a mode like that in, it's 2015 for pity's sake!
