The PS4 Day One patch should sort the frame rate issues, they claim; I assume the Bone will be the same.

That's nice.

Just saying I'd be surprised if it wasn't 1080p on PS4, as most games are.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

They have announced a day one patch for a game that's not due out until next year?
Am I being thick or wasn't getting a game working properly one of the reasons games took so long to make otherwise they may as well just release it now and just send us all patches for the next 6 months.

Sorry - my bad - I was responding to Photek's point about Diablo 3, which does have a D1 patch.

No worries I just found it a sign of the times if they did announce a patch with this long still to go.
Playing games straight from the disk without patches or updates is becoming less and less viable it seems.

Especially when games are getting bigger and bigger and can no longer fit on one blu-ray disc, I wouldn't be surprised to see some games coming with a warning that you need an internet connection to download the rest of the game(s).

After Watch Dogs' downgrade, I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same for The Division.

More leaked pre-alpha footage, 1 min video here - http://www.eurogamer.cz/articles/2015-0 ... e-division

Leaked footage of The Division that appeared online earlier today was taken from a pre-alpha build and is "not representative of the game's current quality", Ubisoft has said.

A short video clip of the game's internal Xbox One pre-alpha test (below) was posted online by VG247 Italy earlier today, along with a pair of screenshots reported to be from the same build. But in a statement provided to VideoGamer.com, Ubisoft said:

"These low resolution images and video originate from a pre-alpha test currently organized by the development team to evaluate the server infrastructure in a real world setting. A large portion of the game features have been removed in this build and therefore is not representative of the game's current quality.

"The team is focusing on providing the best experience for players, and we can't wait to show you more."

Is it just me or does it look kind of ok like that with less stuff cluttering up the screen. It just somehow seems more realistic than when they shove in loads and loads of random gooseberry fool to make the scene seem more interesting than it actually is.
Maybe I'm just easy to please but adding pointless bins and loads of litter everywhere to make it more lively is just getting past the point where I care any more.
A minimalistic scene is kind of refreshing.

This would've been lost among all the other winter releases, especially with Ubisoft having Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Victory out then.

This may well turn out to be an example of a game that was unveiled way too early and releases after the hype has gone.

Disappointed about the delay. This was one of the few games I was really looking forward to playing this year.

There's plenty to play. I'll be happy if the three months are used well.

If it means we don't have another Watch Dogs on our hands then the delay will be more than beneficial.

Also, what's with the sports tag?
