There was a snide-ish comment on GAF that this may be incorporating microtransactions. Any idea if it's true? Tried a search but came up with nothing.

Ubi convinced me my next gen 360 purchase was worth it with the GRAW and R6V trailers and this is bringing back that same feeling.

Looks great, feels like something I couldn't play on current gen hardware.

I still can't quite believe the game will look like that (at least not on consoles), also wondering about the release date too. Seems like a likely candidate to get delayed.

I'm looking forward to the next actual gameplay trailer where, like Watch Dogs, there's been a clear regression in terms of visuals compared to the initial reveal trailer.

As long as it plays as well as the trailers seem to suggest I can forgive them a bit of graphical optimism. It looks like it could be a fantastic game for the Survivor Sunday crew after we finish playing The Last of Us.

I didn't know what I was expecting exactly in terms of graphics for next gen but I was under some sort of impression they would look along these lines if not better.

My most anticipated game next gen no doubt.

Between the Medium to High settings on current PCs, based on what has been released and is slated for release in the next year.

This game is why I bought a PS4  :fp: please be good

What we've seen of this isn't that.

You can't do a straight comparison like that anyway, the new consoles have more VRAM to throw at these games than any current PC game will use, which obviously has a baring on things like textures even though the GPU itself might be nowhere near as powerful.

The lighting and detail seem somewhat unrealistic for the hardware the consoles have available in PC terms. Having said that being fixed they can obviously push the envelope a lot more with a console title than they could with a PC game...who knows really. If the PS4/Xbox One versions end up being a slightly downgraded version of this I'd be happy with it.

I don't think too many will be surprised to hear this has been delayed till next year. I'm still skeptical that what we saw at E3 is how it'll look on consoles, but i'm glad Ubisoft are giving Massive all and any extra time they need to work on the game. With it being a new IP i'm a little surprised Ubisoft didn't end up making this a cross-gen title like Far Cry 4, i'm glad they went with PC and next gen consoles only. Can't wait to see more of this at E3. :datass:

Agents,

Today we announced that Tom Clancy's The Division will be available in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready.

We want to thank you again for the exceptional ongoing support. Community is at the heart of what we are doing and we’re very much designing the game with you in mind, so your involvement means a lot to us.

The production is getting stronger every day and we can't wait to show you what we’ve been up to at this year’s E3. :)

Massive love,

The Dev Team

Not in the least surprising.
