Is there a way to get to the 220 gear score that's the starting point for the next incursion without doing the first incursion?
I have 2 nomad gear pieces and 2 blueprints for the technicians set which is the set I want but the items themselves aren't great and the high end stuff I have is better.
I've done quite a few challenge mode runs and only seen one set item drop and it was a striker set item I gave to the guys as they will make better use of than I will.

This strawberry floating game!!

We spend around two hours on Warrengate.
strawberry floating sucks and it takes us two hours from start to finish.

My loot to compensate me for such an ordeal:

Why waste your time doing that mission? It's an appallingly bad mission.

You could have repeatedly done the other challenging missions in less time, hell in that time period you could have run the Lincoln event centre around 6 times.

I am doing a tally of my drops while doing the challenge missions, and it looks gooseberry fool tbh. No greens since my last green a few weeks back.

We just wanted to do it so we can say we've done it as it beat us last time.
I'm pretty sure we're never doing it again as it's bloody stupid with grenade spam and guys who just have about a billion shields and just walk into massive walls of lead without even flinching.

Ah I see.

The DZ seems to be quite busy, I am tripping over people in DZ 4,5 & 6

They really have done a great job of showing just how badly a company can run an online game.
If the goal of this game was to make Destiny look good by comparison they're doing a stellar job.

I enjoy the game and play it most days but bloody hell it's like it's being run by people who've never seen or played an online game before.

Massive hired Matt Higby who was creative director on Planetside two so hopefully he will be helping them here initially before he starts on what ever game they have him lined up for.

The problem for me and the people I usually play with is we're in the rather annoying situation where we're well enough equipped to take on challenge mode and win we don't have good enough stuff to do an incursion without the huge possibility of getting to the final wave and being wiped and having nothing to show for however long it took us to grind to that point.
The fact that the incursion is filled with the games worst mechanics (bullet sponges with masses of shields and snipers who can kill you from ultra long range) and looks to be completely boring doesn't help.

I've done about 50 challenge mode runs and seen 1 set item drop that wasn't for the set I'm grinding for and I'm stuck at 182.
The 4 set pieces I have (2 Nomad bought from the DZ6 SZ vendor and 2 Tacticians blueprints from the BoO vendor) don't offer much in the way of upgrades and in fact make my character worse overall and that's after masses of grinding for DZ currency and materials for crafting.
The prices for stuff with 200+ are bloody insane for anyone but the hardcore and this makes the endgame a chore.

When the next incursion hits they will probably make 204 and 214 gear easier to get.

I hope so as I don't have the motivation to do the first incursion as I don't think anyone else I play with is going to bother and I don't have gear good enough to go in with randoms. All I would be doing is hiding in a trench throwing healing at people and trying like mad not to die.

The last Challenge mode we did was a prime example. We had the final 3 guys (They for some reason decided to take us on one at a time for some reason) just walking at us into a hailstorm of all 4 of us shooting at them from the ends of corridors where we had 4 turrets set and they would casually kick the turrets to death and then walk our way at which point we ran like strawberry float as they can 1 shot us. We ended up retreating pretty much half the entire level.
This game certainly does not make me feel like a badass.

Am I the only one who has trouble starting the game? Normally it gets through the login in and to the main start screen but then the gooseberry fool begins. Sometimes is just says "connecting" for ages with the stupid circle that tells me nothing (I normally exit and restart the game). A couple of times it says I'm in a queue, counts down and then starts "loading". Sorry? In a queue to play the game I strawberry floating paid for?

Yes?

They have just stated in the sate of game is they are increasing the quality of loot that drops across the board and that they will drop higher level loot. They also said were getting a new DZ bracket 200+ and they will have tougher NPC's that will give better loot and that you wouldn't even see greens or blues. They are also reducing the mod drops and increasing weapon drops.

In short they are taking note of the Diablo 3 model and are going to be more generous.

Currently 1.2 is in testing and they won't give a release date at the moment.

Reckless and Balance talents are fixed in 1.2.

They are doing some tweaks but no real nerfs, all buffs.

20 minutes in the video.

I just hope they've heard the criticism of the enemies with massive shields that are just not fun to fight. it's honestly demotivating when you see one guy who isn't even the level boss take on an entire 4 man fire team complete with extra fire power with turrets and just walk towards you like it's a sunny day in the park and have zero reaction to being shot by everyone and everything.

The crafting needs to be looked at as well as it's beyond silly just how much you need to craft a single set item that most likely has rubbish stats.

With the boost in drop quality and quantity it should improve the crafting as well.

They are also improving the supply drops.

I am being optimistic and think this is them finally on the right path. They even said that they have been questioning themselves on if they are being too generous and then saying no, the need to be more generous.
