It's such a shame that the HD console versions were so strawberry floating poor. They were missing effects that even the ps2 version had!

The PS2 version of Anniversary was great on the PS3, as it supported Widescreen and 480p. Unfortunately the PS3 then broke and that was the end of that.

It also came with the soundtrack and making of DVD, all in a nice fold-out case.

Last PS2 game I ever played, so a fitting end really.

Played a bit of anniversary earlier

Completely forgot about Guardian of light. I've got it sat on the ps3 and never tried it.

It actually is, you played the first few levels as young Lara with Von Croy.

Terrible teenage over sexualisation though- just goes to show its been happening for years!

I've had some goes with the series in the past and though the games have suffered with age I would like to play through them some day. One thing I won't fault the original Tomb Raider for is the atmosphere, as a child I didn't get far into the caves because the game terrified me. I tried playing through Tomb Raider on Saturn a few years ago, I must admit the saturn version has its share of problems, I might see if I can get that Tomb Raider 4-in-1 pack for the PC and play through them on there, that is if I can get the controls to work how I want them.

The strawberry float is that?

"Eidos, in Tomb Raider 3, why not give Lara breast cancer?"

Nearing the end of TR2. Such a huge game, none of this £40 and 5 hours later you're done rubbish that you get with pretty much all of today's games.

Played some more anniversary yesterday and got near the end of the lost valley level when Lara got stuck on the scenery so I had to reload, yet despite there being several checkpoints since I last manually saved, there was no option to reload the checkpoint, so I lost shitloads of gameplay :x

It won the Ad7 'oh strawberry float you' gaming award for the day.

I've played the early levels so much and I just want to play the Egypt ones. Really wish this had a level select.

I could never figure out a way to save the first Tomb Raider game on PC (MS-DOS) so whenever I played I literally only had the one life :slol:

I didn't have access to the internet either, so no cheat codes to skip levels. The furthest I ever got was that Colosseum type level with the gorillas that scared the gooseberry fool outta me. And those bears :(
