Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 (PS4, PS3, Xbone, 360) - Yup, it's a f***ing abortion

I was talking to my friends just last weekend how i would love another proper tony hawks game to come out. Also i watched this band just last weekend , the band is Consumed and they were also on the tony hawks 2 soundtrack. It's one of the best game soundtracks ever.

The game is slated to come out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later in the year, with PS3 and Xbox 360 versions following shortly thereafter.

As the name indicates, Pro Skater 5 is a call back to the old-school lineage of the first four titles – back when the franchise was in its prime. The game weds the series' finely tuned gameplay with new additions such as power-ups and the ability to shoot projectiles for specific missions.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 features a new set of levels packed with objectives and missions you can complete solo or with friends via online co-op and competitive play. Whether you just want to have a session with friends or strangers or want to level up your character online and then take them offline, the game's online flow is seamless. Your created skate parks can also be shared with world.

THPS 5, of course, brings back Tony Hawk, and he's joined by some of the series' familiar faces as well as a new generation of skaters influenced by the original titles. Skaters include, Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds.

I thought Activision would of got Infinity Ward to do this.

I didn't mind the HD game but they better nail the physics down properly this time, I won't diss the graphics though as the HD game wasn't pretty either.

Also not liking that power up idea & shooting projectiles (iTS guT Ta bu leiK COD!1!11!1!!!!) but that's only for side missions. So they say.

Edit: euuuuuuuuuuugggggggggghhhhhhh it's cross gen.

I'm guessing that August 11th isn't the release date...

Neversoft developed the early/best games, Activision merged them with Infinity Ward.

Yeah, the one thing stopping me getting excited is the fact that it's not Neversoft developing it. The early games were so good.

That would be difficult, considering they no longer exist.

Tony Hawk HD was a really bad port.... so it being developed by that developer isn't great news imo.

Oh dear. Looks/sounds rubbish. Shame.

The fundamentals of those screenshots would have looked good...if this were 2001.

I know - but I think a lot of them are now within Infinity Ward. It maybe wishful thinking but a development team with some of the ex-Neversoft guys at its core would be good.
