I've seen some crap this year (the joys of a Cineworld unlimited card), but nothing stinks or festers longer in my brain than Diary of the Dead. Honest-to-god the biggest pile of self indulgent fuckery I've ever seen at the cinema. It didn't help that I watched it at 9am in the morning with a massive hangover.

It strawberry floated up the one important thing in a zombie film: the zombies.

Ah that new title means I can answer now.

Juno. Just plain didn't like it. Came across as smarmy, self-satisfied and reall trying to overplay the 'indie' aspect. Was bored senseless by it. Generally read reviews beforehand so I've avoided most of the codswallop this year, only other thing that really springs to mind is Indy 4.

Day of the dead.

Now my next two may cause some anger from some of you, But just remember the title is most disappointing, not worst.

Pineapple Express
Burn After Reading

Both were hyped to me by this very forum, and I found them thoroughly dissapointing. Especially the latter, for such a cracking cast I thought it was directionless and dull.

Which year did Transformers come out in. That film was a steaming pile of gooseberry fool.

Diary of the Dead
X Files 2
Choke
Death Race
The Happening (which had the saving grace of being so bad it was brilliant).

Only films I can think of this year that really disappointed me.

See I really enjoyed Choke, I thought it was very entertaining. Zack And Miri Make A Porno, now that was terrible. Probably why I enjoyed Choke more, it was far better than that toss.

Teeth got the attention it did because it was a film about a girl with teeth in her hooha. That alone was bound to raise quite a few eyebrows.

Quantum of Solace

I wasn't expecting much in the first place, so I guess you could say that it was hard to be disappointed. But I left the pictures thinking, "what the strawberry float was that I just watched?" Poor story; over-reliant on stunt wankery.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

strawberry floating strawberry float gooseberry fool what you strawberry floating banana split doing gooseberry fool wank? You're going to strawberry floating bone that strawberry floating bitch? That's half of the script right there. Juvenile dross.

Wall-E, without doubt. It was probably my most anticipated film of the year and it may have been this fact that made it such a let down. I also thought Prince Caspian was awful, but I was pretty much expecting it to be, so it wasn't such a disappointment.

Really? I thought Wall-E was amazing, although I had no expectations after the shitfest which was Ratatouille.

Quantum of Solace. Absolute tosh. Incomprehensible 'plot', Bond reduced to being a Jason Bourne wannabe and distinctly unmemorable action scenes. Shame, as Marc Foster is a talented director.

I just wish it knew what it wanted to be. It was just too uncertain in tone, and all of Palahniuks material needs real confidence to be handled effectively.
