Xbox 360

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Didn't buy the 360 until this was released as none of the launch games appealed to me that much, actually bought the PC version first and the performance was terrible (I had a fairly decent PC too) so just decided to splash out on the Xbox360 and Oblivion (had already got a 720p TV series at least didn't have that expense), think I played over 600 hours with various character builds yet never actually finished it.

Crackdown
This is just such a joy to play, for a severely disabled person who can barely move it's incredibly empowering to essentially become an all-powerful supercop who can leap over buildings, single handedly kill entire drug gangs and drives a transforming supercar/truck/suv and I simply couldn't get enough of it.

Viva Pinata
Hexic HD
PGR3

Project Gotham Racing 3
Project Gotham Racing 4.
Thought these two, though especially the 4th, were the best racing games of the 360/PS3 era. More enjoyable and easier just to pick up and have fun with than FORZA or GT, but with challenge and depth there if you wanted it, with the most perfect handling model going (at a time Codemasters were kind of ballsing up their handling mechanics with GRID and DiRT1). Outstanding graphics from the get-go, and 3 was the game in the 360 launch line-up that graphically screamed ‘next gen’.
Geometry Wars 2. Simply the best download-only title ever released.
Red Dead Redemption. An outstanding effort from Rockstar, and the bit where you’re just slowly riding your horse in the middle of nowhere, literally nothing else happening aside from some Western song playing in the background, is something that still sticks in my mind today. Definitely made the effort to get to the conclusion (and beyond) with this one.
One of the FIFA titles. Maybe World Cup 2006 or FIFA 07. Or 08. While nothing could ever capture the PS1/2 era magic of ISS/PES, this was the beginning of FIFA turning PES into a gradual irrelevance. Not since ‘99 had FIFA been this good. Later editions were undoubtedly better but I played those on PS3.

I loved my 360 but I don't actually think there's necessarily anything on there that I spent a huge amount of time on like I did with other systems. Mainly because the big time sinks like Skyrim/Oblivion/Minecraft I had on PC instead.

Will have a look over my collection and see if I can come up with a list!

Xbox 360. A strawbin' legendary system!

I stuck with my OG Xbox until 2007, picking up an Xbox 360 Elite along with a copy of Bioshock in August of that year.

My most-played games on the console are:

> Fallout 3 - the frontrunner by a long way. I got it at launch but didn't really start playing it until 2012... but what a game. I had so much fun completing (gasp!) the game and all of the DLC (bigger gasp!). One of my all-time faves and I'd like to have another play sometime; just to meet up with Fawkes again  .

> Other games - ...I've only dabbled with other stuff  . I finished both Portal and Portal 2 and they were both brilliant. I thought Bioshock was impressive (that opening... fire and water... wonderful architecture... so atmospheric) and Bioshock Infinite was ace, too. Crackdown was neat; and I hugely enjoyed what I played of Fallout New Vegas.

So here are my top 5 most played Xbox 360 games in no particular order

Enchanted Arms , it was the first Xbox 360 game I got, its a pretty long RPG I think made by FromSoft and as it was the first game I had and the first meaty long game for a fair while I played the living heck out of it. I have recently repurchased it

Xcom Enemy Unknown .... I have mentioned before how much I love this game and I played the heck out of it on the 360, before doing the same on any other format I could get my hands on it on

Oblivion.. I love this, love all the bethesda games but on this particular machine this is the one I jumped on the most

At this time I played a lot of Halo 3 and the Original Gears of War with a bunch of lads I had known for years (been to school with) but this system and these games would be the end of that ... when I had a kid I still made some time to do stuff with all of them when and where I could but once they had kids they didnt do the same (I was a dad a lot sooner than any of the others).

I only had a 360 for a short while back in the day but let's see.

Halo 3 - this was my first and only Halo game for years. Only played the singleplayer campaign but I really liked it. I only played on the Wii and weaker consoles back then so it seemed especially amazing to me back then.

Fallout: New Vegas - I didn't get too far into this back on 360 (I'd later do multiple playthroughs on PC) but similarly I enjoyed this one a lot as someone who had not played a Fallout game before, or many open world games quite on its scale.

via Series S/X:

Sonic Unleashed - It has the added benefit of being 60fps on the new console, but that aside I think I still would have enjoyed this game back in the day. It's seriously great, and I feel that while the werehog stages are the weaker side of the game, they're not that bad.

Final Fantasy XIII - I know this was overhauled quite a fair bit from the original 360 version since that one was a bit shaky, but I think ultimately the unevenness of this game shines through regardless. It doesn't have my fave battle system in the series, and the characters are a bit too awkward sometimes, but I enjoyed it enough. It only really makes this list because it was so long and I decided to stick with it.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. Felt it improved on the first game in most ways, and it had a fun time travel mechanic.

Time to break out TrueAchievements to see what I'd played from back then. And ooh, yeah... Quite a few great classics there. Shame there's no playtime data for the 360 games, but I think I can guess good enough. It wasn't a large collection.

Forza Motorsport 4 being the first played and one of my most played would make sense. Aside from the Kinect games and The Force Unleashed, it was the only game I had for it. September would change that with the London Olympics game and some credit that saw me buy Sonic Adventure 2 and Hydro Thunder, but there was always something keeping me on Motorsport. Of course, that would all change with Forza Horizon near release and then F1 Race Stars that Christmas. I think, of the two F1 Race Stars likely saw more playtime, as it became one of my favourite kart racers.

Then there's the Sonic games. As stated, I did get Sonic Adventure 2, and it served the purpose it did on Gamecube in being an easy game to start up and enjoy some fun on before going elsewhere. The same would apply to Sonic Generations. Already having completed it on PS3, I bought it for the Xbox as that was where my playtime was quickly going. While I did also have Sonic Unleashed, it didn't manage to serve that same purpose as I just didn't enjoy as many of its levels.

Oblivion - the music and the beautiful scenery, it was such a great place to walk around. Really felt a sense of wonder and I loved how to level up in a skill you had to use it. Though it did make me jump every to upgrade my stamina. Never played a game like it before and spent a silly amount of time trying to find everything.

Call if duty 2 - my first ever HD game, running from building to building, blown away by how pretty it all was.

Kameo - waited years and years for this, it's great, in part, especially the open world section and the last few creature you find. Just felt like a new Rare game, which is all I wanted.

Dead Rising - dawn of the Dead (1978) is my favorite film so this was an essential purchase. It's clunky, it's annoying, but the scale of the enemies on screen was so impressive. Also using the lawn mower to run over them and meeting the psychos.

99 Night - imagine dynasty warriors but with more enemies. This was super fast and just a brilliant game to play. Fantasty setting, different playable characters and so many enemies on screen. I played the demo so much and the full game was my dream game.

Wish my image sig would work

It was seeing the smoke effects on a HD TV for the first time in PC World (R.I.P.) that got me.

I was thinking of doing something with the results feedback but I've had a fair bit of IRL rubbish pop up recently so will have to see what I have time for.

I love Dead Rising I'm a big Romero fan... it would make my top ten most played.

Also a big fan of kameo
