So many good memories being triggered in here

And the sensi mention reminds me of another that I can't believe I forgot (and that nobody else has name checked yet) - Speedball 2!

Are you counting Amiga CD32? If not I've never seen an Amiga and had no idea what games were on it until now lol

I adored my Amiga 500. In terms of time spent on games

Championship Manager 93/94. It felt like 100s of hours spent with mates playing this late in to the night.

Speedball 2. It was always fresh and always fun.

Hunter. Proper open world sandbox. I never achieved much, but spent a long time doing so.

Sensible Soccer. Excellent fun, still holds up.

Lemmings. Still great today.

As per thread rules, these are my most played games (from memory), not my favourite games (hence no Monkey Island 2).

Weirdly never came across Speedball 2 on the Amiga at the time, I played the Megadrive version...

The Amiga was the first real time I had a lot of pirate games. I had a nice little collection of Amiga games, then a friend lent me a game and it had a Virus on it, this Virus essentially caused your disks to wipe themselves if you put them in the computer after you'd had the original infected disc in it, if you hadn't turned your machine off.... As I was young and dumb it wiped all my games. I contacted some of the companies that made the games and there attitude was sucks to be you kid.... My mum took me to a guy who sold shareware and demo type stuff and when she mentioned what had happened he told me to bring all my discs and he would blank the discs and burn all of the games back on to them off of his pirate copies. (Turns out he was a pirate as well).

This was the start of me really realising that these big game companies did not care about me beyond there ability to get my pocket money, a valuable lesson was learned.

Sure if you want to give us a top 5 based off that a lot of the games on there probably originated on the Amiga.

Starting my engines for Atari ST week! I'd imagine if I'd had an Amiga then the list would be very similar (as long as Deuteros got an Amiga release).

My favourite gaming system! I always regret selling my A600.

Probably the following:

1. Sensible Soccer (the original, not SWOS which never felt as good to play IMO)
2. Cannon Fodder
3. Dune II: Battle for Arrakis
4. Syndicate
5. Pinball Fantasies

Hmmm, I forgot about Syndicate and Pinball Dreams. It felt like I spent whole summers playing those.

Impossible task this, but it has reminded me that the A500/+/600/1200 was the best games machine of all time. Absolutely loved it.

I have actually played a fair few of the games mentioned, just on other platforms.

Parasol Stars
Rodland
Golden Axe
Premier Manager

Don't remember playing any others too much - Chaos Engine maybe.

EDIT - actually Manchester United in Europe (sounds a weird name but I'm sure that's what it was called)

Not in the top 5 but I did play a lot of Golden Axe so maybe it would hit the top ten for me.

Yeah, Manchester United Europe was it, Ste! It was pretty good, too - even as a Gooner I enjoyed the gameplay!

My brother had the first game and it was amazing, then my friend convinced me to swap it for Space Ace.

He is no longer my friend.
