TOP 5 Played Games Per System Week 4 XBOX 360

OK so I thought It might be cool to find out what games people played the most of , doesnt have to be your fave or the best on the system just the thing you spent the most time on . I figured I would do this on a system by system basis and would start randomly so I have started with the AMIGA 500

Now for the second week let's go with the original Sony PlayStation.

Now for the Third week lets go with the Nintendo DS

Now for the Fourth week I have figured I had done a Commodore system, a Sony, a Nintendo so now it was time for a Microsoft The XBOX 360

This would be the Top Five of Amiga games I heavily played back in the day.... A lot of my Amiga time went into in no specific order Stunt Car Racer, Shuffle Puck Cafe, A Rockstar Ate My Hamster, Moonstone and Elvira Mistress of the Dark..not the only games I played but the 5 I easily spent the most time on.

How about everyone else any Amiga Fans in the house?

Never even seen an Amiga (IRL, that is) but I like the idea of this thread so I'll definitely take part for all the systems I've owned/played.

A great idea for a thread, kerr - and, yes, I was (am) a big Amiga fan! I still have all my kit and games but I haven't played it in around twenty years now - which I can't quite believe.

I think my five most-played games on the system are probably:

> Kick-Off 2 - This was tricky to get into but, once you got used to the speed, so rewarding. I played the original on the ST and this version was a great update.
> Championship Manager '93 - Oh, boy. I put a lot of time into this; it was great starting out in a lower division and working your way up to winning a trophy. The text commentary was actually exciting!
> Goal! - Dino Dini's follow-up to the Kick-Off series and it was tremendous, with slicker graphics and presentation with improved core gameplay.
> Lotus Turbo Challenge III - A thrilling arcade racer with superb 90s house-styled music and the ability to create tracks.
> Super Skidmarks - Too-down racing that was so playable and the signature "skidmark" graphic effects were very neat.

I look forward to seeing your input with future system picks :)

The funny thing is I have played a few of these but there not things I played on the Amiga, Skidmarks I have played on the Megadrive , and Champ Manager I played on my first PC I think it was. Looks like you were very into your football back when you were an Amiga gamer chap.

kerr, yeah, I was a huge Amiga enthusiast, sticking with the system up until around 1998. I had a hard drive (200 Mb 8-) ) fitted into my A1200 and a faster processor/4Mb memory card slotted in, too.

Super Skidmarks on the Mega Drive is pretty good! It captures the essence of the gameplay and remains a lot of fun, even though - imho - the graphics don't quite match up to the Amiga original.

Nowdays you can get SD card devices that replicate the hard drive; silent working, a lot faster and with much more storage space!

Cool idea!

Most played Amiga games for me would probably be:

> Settlers 2 - Adored this as a kid, just a lot of fun to spend time in that world, building out your little settlement, battling the local rivals
> Lemmings - So easy to dip into and play a few levels, don't think I ever actually played it through to the end properly though!
> UFO Enemy Unknown - The strategy GOAT :datass:
> Syndicate - So stylish, so violent, perfect for my young developing mind!
> Monkey Island 2 - Played this so much back in the day, when you combine the amount of time spent being stuck and then the subsequent multiple playthroughs just to experience it all again this would have to be up there in my most played list!

EDIT: gooseberry fool there are so many games, the more I think about the more that come back to me. Frontier Elite II was another one I spent forever playing, as was Theme Park. Amiga

I flipping love UFO (Xcom) but never played it on the Amiga I found it on PS1 and then pc and played the living heck out of it, I wish I had found it on Amiga id have proberbly played it sooner.

Syndicate was another one I played loads of but not on Amiga

Lemmings would finish in my top ten most played Amiga games doesn't quiet make top 5

Turrican 2 - the music, it's perfect. Game is pure euro platform shooter and it great but the music takes it to another level.

Shadow of the beast 2 - atmosphere like few other games, the death screen and music kick is the greatest game over screen ever.

James Pond 2 - robocod - art and music are fantastic, gameplay ia poor at best, but it's still a lovely but of nostalgia.

Rod Land - looks beautiful and plays well.

Assassin - I remember buying this massive boxes game at EB in the metro Centre, looks lovely, plays well and felt closer to a SNES game.

Honorable mentions, Elf, Warlock, Wrath of the Demon, Beast Busters, Eye of the Beholder, Hunter and Premier.

Also, this game for this absolute banger of a song.

To be honest, i have no idea which games i played on the Amiga most, especially since a lot of what i played were mainly magazine demo discs.

Still...

Bubble Bobble
Super Off Road
Super Grand Prix (Codemasters budget range top down racer)
Rockstar Ate My Hamster
Lemmings

I played Wrath of the Demon on the CD TV it would make my top 5 for that platform (basically a powered up Amiga with a CD drive)

James Pond 2 Robocod would make my Top Ten... played it on a lot of other formats as well.

Can’t disagree with anything here, excellent list. As an additional I have a soft spot for supercars 2. Top down racing with missiles and bombs and mid season interviews and driving licence tests!

My brother had a CDTV, he was using my Amiga 500 and stupidly sat a can of pop on top of it, a can he then knocked into the Amiga causing it to short out and blow. He gave me the CDTV as an appology.... I used the living heck out of it but eventually years later it broke down and I threw it.... i wish I had kept it as nowdays I would have tried to repair it.

Dang! A shame about your 500... but ace to have owned a CD32, kerr... I'm envious!

One good thing to come from it all is that despite the pop blowing the Amiga 500 it didn't blow its power supply.... Flash Forward about 15 years and I would Grab a really brown stained Amiga 500 from a carboot for £5, it wouldn't work and the reason was its power supply was faulty... My old original Power Supply was in the back of a Wardrobe so this wasn't a problem for me. I havent used this Amiga much recently though its in a cupboard but at least I have it in case I want it.

I'm pretty surprised, too, dmin!

Personally, though, I much preferred Kick-Off and Goal!. Sensi was good but I just never really took to it.
