It's out of these:

Image
The Gasman - Superlife. Just trumps Aaron Funk's '1961' out of my list. Apropos of their very similar styles.

Image
Paavoharju - Laulu Laakson Kukista.

Image
Secret Chiefs 3 - Xaphan: The Book Of Angels, Vol. 9.

Image
Fujiya & Miyagi - Lightbulbs.

Image
Devotchka - A Mad And Faithful Telling.

Image
strawberry float Buttons - Street Horrrsing.

Was I the only one who thought The Hawk is Howling was a bit gooseberry fool? Easily Mogwai's worst since CODY.

Best Christmas album i've ever heard. Bit weird that it was released in late september/october though. Yet to get a copy though as it's always out of stock (nowhere ever has a large supply of these guys albums).

i may take the plunge and buy all five.

I'll be doing the exact same, although I have MGMT yet to listen to and I have the KoL cd. I don't really buy or listen to much at all nowadays :fp:
Maybe I should buy a music magazine or something.

Kids in Glass Houses - Smart Casual
Kings of Leon - Only By The Night
Nine Inch Nails - The Slip

Ooh, Kudos for Attack! Attack! there, saw them supporting FFAF, was really surprised by just how good they were. Also noticed the lead singer joining FFAF on stage when they were singing History :D

There's an awful lot of these I haven't even heard of, nor have any inclination of trying out.

Brought loads of albums this year, mainly ones from previous years to catch up on stuff I missed, e.g all of Weezer's previous albums, however out of ones this year, my favourite has got to be Intimacy by Bloc Party. First time I heard Mercury I loved it, however was unsure still about the new direction there were heading, however upon receiving the album early due to ordering it off their website and listening to Ares first time, I was immediately hooked, still not as good as Silent Alarm, but pushes oh so close.

Special mentions as well go to KoL Only By The Night, love Closer, Use Somebody, Be Somebody and Cold Desert, and when I saw the youtube interview with Caleb and he explained about how Cold Desert was recorded, it took on a whole new meaning for me, brilliant song!

Also Simple Plan was a really good album as well, did know of them to begin, but heard When I'm Gone and then got the album and couldn't stop listening to it for a good month! One that really surprised me was OneRepublic, good album, All Fall Down, Mercy and Stop And Stare being my favourites.

Prospekt's March, whilst not a full album, has been played on my Ipod constantly this week, Life In Technicolor II is all kinds of awesome, can't wait till I see them live on Tuesday!

I'll go with The Hold Steady- Stay Positive. It's probably there weakest album overall but it's the Hold Steady so it's still amazing. Constructive Summer is the best song they've ever done too.

Who cares...
