I watched Formula 1 on Sunday night and I couldn't help but watch Eddie Jordan, Steve Jones & Coulthard touring Azerbaijan and think they had far better chemistry than this current Top Gear lot.

I agree the way Chris Evans showed when Eddie phoned him up clearly has no chemistry with him repeated what he said a few times plus what he said sounded forced not natural

Eddie Jordan isn't suited to TG. Simple.

He's bizarrely stilted and uncomfortable for someone who has so much live TV experience.

Just caught up and i thought it was another strong episode. Really the only bad one so far has been the first episode.

The weak links are Chris Evans (but he's getting better) and Eddie Jordan's spoons. :dread:

Sabine, Chris Harris and Rory Reid are fantastic.

LeBlanc is ok, he's likeable without being too entertaining.

I really get the impression hes trying to play a part, instead of just being himself hes trying to be the old posh man of the group or something.

Eddie is like me... quick witted off the cuff but in a rehearsed environment I am stiffer than an oak tree (fnarr fnarr) - totally useless in a role-playing environment.

Yeah that episode was terrible. The series was picking up slightly, if only because of the inclusion of those newcomers, but last night's episode was utter shite.

It just does not work when they are attempting to copy the old formula but with little to no chemistry.

I liked the review of the Rolls-Royce up until the bit with Evans as he genuinely seemed to like the car for what it is.
I'd have no problem with Matt staying and Evans being replaced.

I thought last night's episode was the best of the series. Where the series goes from here is unclear though, according to various press, LeBlanc doesn't want to work with Evans, but then if LeBlanc was to become the main presenter, would he commit to multiple series? Also a small matter of Evans sexual harassment matter to deal with. I think with some tweaks though, this will be fine and should continue, almost unchanged.

Yes?

Evans gone then. I didn't think he was that bad, just trying to be Clarkson too much.

Surprised. He wasn't terrible, wonder who they will replace him with? LeBlanc is fine, but as a British show, I'd prefer a British main host.

Yes?
